I thoroughly agree with you but expect Coleman will want to see his players in at least 2 friendlies before any meaningful competetive games take place.
Maybe play Oldham and Swinton. Those would be interesting games and give us an indication as to the level of this squad.

I doubt that it'll be you v us, as (according to James) we'll be clashing early on in the campaign in the 1895.

1 friendly so Alan can see his players, then the 1895 Cup to take seriously for points. I remember the season we took the Cup seriously and won at Blackpool. We used a few players from Warrington at the time. 😂👍 Pickgersgill and Penny I remember.
I think dire away plus one at home will be sufficient, agree with comments about 1895 cup - we need to try our best in that for IMG points and it may give us a welcome visit to Wembley
