Great win.

Did exactly what we needed to.

Brown and Davies outstanding playing the full 80.

Cant underestimate Smith’s experience and leadership in that second half.

Have to back it up at Dewsbury now. No excuses

Wasn't there so can't comment directly, but clearly a very hard fought win! Was following on BBC website, so wasn't sure how long to go when Matty Smith dropped the goal, seemed like forever until fulltime! We've clearly got a lot more character and cohesiveness about us this season, as well as more size and skill. OK we're not one of the favourites, but we seem to be headed in right direction, yes our first 2 results were against the bottom 2 clubs, but as they say you can only beat what's in front of you and the Halifax result has taken our play up a few notches!

A very solid controlled performance in the soggy conditions. The old Widnes would have been spilling the ball all the time and wilting under pressure. Definitely this is a different team.

@mick-george Paid on  the day today. Adult £22 & over 65 £17 in the seated East Stand so very similar to Widnes.

@wirralviking Think it was 10 minutes or so to go after the drop goal.

There was 13 minutes to go according to the stadium clock. I know because I said to my son at the time why has he done that with so long still to go, shows how much know 😊

@vikingsinbradford  If the chance comes along got to take it. Little chance of creating a try through the hands on that heavy pitch. The earlier you are trying the less pressure as time left for a possible other attempt. It also puts more pressure on the opposition.

The long pre-season, helped by getting the squad together quickly, plus Beswick's expertise, starts to bear fruit!!!! So often we seem to have been late in getting our squad together so you are playing 'catch up' from the start.

Well done Simon and the Board!
