Unbelievable. Batley complain & policy is changed! More like the RL have realised this will mean they can save money by avoiding paying out compensation to the clubs for loss of income.More policy made on the back of a fag packet. Farcical.

The right decision in the end but if not on the original dates when will they be played? Probably midweek games meaning 3 games in 8 days. Lets see who we get, hopefully Swinton or Rochdale. Not holding my breath though. Probably give us a long distance fixture to Newcastle, Goole or Hurricanes.

If you look at James’s page on X , it will give you a hint about who we will be playing

It looks like some clubs worried about there finances already not having this fixture, because Featherstone would bring a few to Batley. I bet non would want to miss playing Widnes at home because we bring a few and bump the average gate up to keep certain players under budget. Funny how stopped the 15% for buying tickets at the Widnes club for away games, because we get the benefit more than most teams due to a mini bus load from most Championship clubs.

Wouldn't mind you being added to our / us be added to your fixture list, especially as you say, it could be  midweek.

Interesting to see the change of mind

so we will play one other club home and away from the 7 we weren’t playing - dates will be very flexible as based on cup weekends so depends on clubs progress in the cups

there would have been 1 club available on the date that clubs were due to play fev which may help a few fixtures

regardless of who we get I cannot see it replicating the attendance for fev, I hope it is swinton but knowing our luck we will probably get the midlands

From what James is hinting, we’re going to be playing Goole. A clash of the Vikings!

Rudiculous but not surprised.

1.The RL love making us have high travelling costs. Never have done Widnes any favours.

2.We got dumped out of SL for Catalans not relegated, Leigh were bottom.

3.If true, no local team games whatsoever in 2026 despite the RL calling for them.

4. Salford no points deduction in 20 team league this year whereas we got 12 points deduction on leaving SL in a 14 ? team league & no favours whatsoever.

@geoffw

and don’t forget that the new Salford club, without points deductions are allowed to still claim the previous clubs honours - work that out

Playoff formula announced, very strange top team after bye in first round play highest team qualifier where second placed team play lowest team ?
and the grand final - why not just say winner of semi 1 plays winner of semi 2, extremely weird writing

@cumbria-viking

well for us financially swinton would have been best, but with all due respect to Goole, we should win both of those games
