I have just watched the tries on Featherstone TV and some great ones from Featherstone. Not to blame our defence as great movement in the tries and fast hands. Got a feeling Featherstone will still be a top 3 side and what positions do you think we require to be one of the top 3 sides? Another halfback and strike centre possibly. Happy with the effort and determination and I am sure we will get more top results if have this attitude.

Good game, as a Fev fan I'd definitely say it could have gone either way and think both teams will take a fair bit of encouragement out of it.

Think both teams had a period of about 25 minutes where they were totally dominant, Fev in the first half and Widnes in the 2nd, and I must admit I didn't fancy our chances when we went behind as we looked to be lacking energy at that point and hadn't had much ball or territory.

I said beforehand that we have one mercurial talent and one glaring area of weakness and think we saw both of those, Paul Turner was outstanding in the first half though much quieter in the second. In terms of weakness we have leaked multiple tries down our right edge against every half-decent team we have played this year and that happened again yesterday though it's also true that most teams in the division seem to have their best playmaker on the left hand side and clearly that's true with Gilmore at Widnes.

I thought we played well for most of the match and a bit unlucky to lose.

Dont think it helped that both of our centres we’re missing and we had utility back/forwards playing in their place.

The pass for Fevs  final try could have gone anywhere, the centre tried to catch it but ended up deflecting it into the wingers hands for him to score.

I think a lot of our previous teams would have collapsed at 22-6 down, at Fev,  but we did well to come back and take the lead.

Should be close again on Sunday against Bradford, we will have the confidence of recently beating them at Bradford and them having a poor defeat yesterday. Let’s hope they play poorly again on Sunday!

Would have been good to win and a bit disappointing we came back and didn't hold out.

However, we've had 60 and 70 put on us there in recent years and I honestly cannot remember the last time we won there so I'm happy enough that we have continued the competitiveness demonstrated so far.

Under Denis Betts in 2011 was  our last win at Featherstone.A northern rail group game or some such,I think. Not the league fixture.

How did Sam Brooks play and surprised with 2 centres injured that Roby did not get a call back to play?
