For a month to start with. Are people happy with this as I am not sure I am. My memory of him last year was of giving daft penalties away at will & I think he was sin binned too.  Obviously our coach knows more than me about him  & it is a position we are weakest at but unless we have had a lot of unknown injuries after the Batley game or in training to props I am a bit concerned over this. It is a kick in the teeth to the other props & cannot do much for their confidence or team spirit. I hope he is a success but is it worth the risk? What do others think?

Not too happy if he walks straight into the team, these lads have been in pre season for weeks.I'd rather go with what we already have, short of props or not.

Agree with both of you.

Wouldn’t want to deal with Wire after last years farce, either.

I would prefer a permanent signing - our recent experiences going down this path (including Doro himself last season) have been average, at best.

Agree with Sinbad’s point about sending a negative message to the lads who’ve put the effort in pre-season.

He works hard  and plays with aggression though obviously he overdid things with that needless sin bin in his last spell. And we do need props particularly if Nzoungou isn’t fit for the first game. Not saying he won’t be, by the way. I’d have him on the bench against London.

Would prefer to stick with Will on the bench

I'm guessing Nzoungou won't be fit for the first few games as he recovers from a knee injury.  We are a prop short in the squad for me even if he was fit. Also I'm not convinced Grady is a prop either.  A bit surprised we have linked up with Warrington though after what happened last year with Doro and Roby.

Can't expect Will to play as often as last season. Doro can be the 'spare' that we needed. He, or Wire, may not like it - tough!

We don't really know just where Levy is yet so cover is needed. Plus it depends on the opposition and/or weather to a degree, sometimes a faster option might be better and Grady is better.

I hope he goes well and is probably fitter as in a full time capacity

I suppose only the board and Finnegan know why he has been signed. Maybe even to allow Baker to revert to LF.

A strong runner which I love in a prop. We have all wanted another prop and now we moan. 🤣 Feel the passion he will punch holes down the middle, and I am fired up now. I do agree on hoping longer than a few games, and we will need to utilise our squad, if we want players fresh and on there toes.

I have no problem with extra players especially a prop, what i do find strange is the timing. Surely with an almost full side to choose from why is it necessary to disturb an already settled side. Yes maybe in a few weeks if we pick up injuries but surely not the first week. 👍

As someone who has been urging the club to sign props, I welcome this signing. We need specialist cover in this important position where injuries are highly likely.

That’s despite my reservations based on our experience of short term loans from Warrington.

I don’t think that the rest of the squad will resent the signing, they should appreciate that our coach will select the best players available.

@former-chemic

Absoluely!

For once Simon will have real options at prop!!!!

Players throughout our squad now have competition for places.

Stinks of de ja vu season not started ye we need a loan signing and  the same guy from the same club who crunchie on us last season. The guy is a penalty machine and i would rather run with what we have.
