I saw we had sold our initial alloction yesterday, whatever that was? Quite impressive. Anyone who went any idea of actual Widnes attendance at York?

It was a decent following, four supporters coaches outside, at a guess 400 - 500.

Yes, I would say about that.  We were sitting in the ED block and I would say there were about 100 Vikings in there.  We had all of EA, EB and the majority of EC, too.   That performance may also put about 400 on the attendance next week at home, hopefully.

Baffles me why the don’t try and capitalise on the win, as far as I can see, no direct link to tickets for next week has been posted on the clubs social media.

Even if one person buys on impulse after todays win the social media post would be worth it

I’ve said this I don’t know how many times m, the club needs to be better at marketing the games and match day experience, hopefully winning on the field will help but we need to be putting on stuff to make it an event rather than just the game these days

let me just add that the free season tickets in schools in widnes from the pay it forward scheme is a great start

It was my first visit to the LNER stadium, and was quite impressed.  Easy to park, plenty around there at the retail and leisure park, easy to get in (once we figured out we could cut through the leisure centre) and a nice tidy stadium.  They had plenty of stuff going on at half time too.

Only gripe is the insistence on playing music at EVERY "stoppage" in play - penalties, forming scrums etc etc.  So annoying!!

I think there must have been at least 500 Widnes fans there, I noticed after the match, there were 5 Widnes coaches outside the ground, that’s the most I’ve seen at an away LEAGUE match since we were relegated. If we win next week, I think there should be even more at Bradford in a fortnight.

There were lots of Vikings in cars, I live in Yorkshire and we travelled to York directly, as Wetherby Viking probably did as well

@halfback-ragnarsson Yup!  30 minute drive for me. Much easier than a home game!

Just read that the attendance was 2117. So at 500, we in actual fact we supplied 25% of the support👍👍

@wetherby-viking 8 minutes to LNER for me rather than 2 hours if I go to a home game.

@sinbad It was pretty good. I would say between 400 to 500.
