Not sure we were ever DR with Staines or the pies
no recollection of bad days with Staines, but recall we had a bad experience with the pies - a centre as I recall

I think we need to keep a good relationship with the Superleague clubs locally. Got 4 decent Superleague teams to utilise from mate. Yeah I think we all prefer our own players, but if injuries occur we need that extra depth.. So more fans and WVIPS members will help us get the best possible squad and team to compete. 🥖🥖🥖👍
No matter how we play it we will need money to progress, whatever IMG turn up.
As things stand at present spare cash is hard to find for the club and its supporters. The queue of millionaires is a very short one and we can only hope that any improvement in the cost of living is reflected in the WVips, season ticket etc from the rank and file supporters.
The town still churns out talented players, many for our rival clubs, but that isn't new. We have only had money available to sign lads for short periods in our recent life and that would need to change.
However, we are where we are and I, for one, have enjoyed this season so far and feel more optimistic than I have for a while. Our Coach seems positive and effective, he just needs the best talent available to get the best results, and that brings us back to cash!!!!
Where we dual reg with wigan the last season or 2 before SL?
when we got ainscough, L Tomkins, Crosby and Mellor under Betts? Or just loans?

Spot on mate all boils down to cash and we would all love a Degsy or a Koukash, who would spend. I am enjoying Widnes being competitive and if we do I am sure more will watch us. I am doing WVIPS and Kids season pass to help. 👌👍🥖
Looks like the link with Warrington, hasn't born much fruit, it will be interesting to see if the loan of Bailey form Saints, will lead to other opportunities. As I have said under the Bailey post, it was rumoured that we knocked back offers of loan players from Saints in the past, lets hope we are more interested now!
Can't see saints having a problem with us , we did let them use our stadium for a season , perhaps it's down to the financial side or that players aren't available for the positions we require
I wonder whether the pitch might have been one of the main issues with Saints.
Warrington have offered players, and Coleman has decided not to use them. That's fair enough. If random young players were coming in at the expense of our own players, I'm sure fans would be complaining about that too.
Makes sense to me to try and identify individuals, like Bailey, and get them on loan; especially given the number of Widnes lads Saints have got.
@tosh I think it was the council who let them use the stadium, it's them who own it.
Dual reg with Crusdaers for the remainder of 2024
