Didn’t hear the attendance announced. Definitely three figures though.

So knock off the Widnes contingent and Dewsbury have at least 650 hard core supporters. Its as I said on an other thread; with approx 2000 season ticket holders and VIQI we should not be struggling against this kind of opposition.
Where do people get this ‘approx 2000’ season ticket holders from? We’ve had nowhere near 2000 attendees at our home games, since the crowds were allowed back. I’d say it was more like 1200. Paulie xx
I know several ‘season ticket’ holders who have not been since Covid. Also, several who refuse to watch a constant drip feed of complete horse poo on the pitch
700/800 of them? I think not.
Maybe James knows the figure?

Not for one minute am I suggesting its 700/800 non conformists PW. Just definite reasons a 'number' of one time loyal fans have thrown the towel in

As I put it up I will tell you. When I went down to pick my season tickets up months ago(four in one envelope, sitting with all the other envelopes) I asked how many we had sold and was told by the girls giving them out approx 2000 season tickets. Don’t shoot the messenger just relaying what was said to me. Don’t know why you question it, it’s a fact that even in SL when Liverpool played at home on TV over 400 season ticket holders went missing. 👍👍
Perhaps the staff were being generous in their estimate. As PW says you wouldn't get 700/800 not turning up for something they had paid for.
I would be more worried about the number of ST holders next year the way we are going!

That's my thoughts Sinbad.
Not calling you a liar, Martin, no doubt one of the 'staff' did say that to you. As Sinbad said, maybe they were 'bigging' up their employers, to make it look like everything in the garden is rosy.

I know of 7 friends and family who are season ticket holders didn’t go to our last home game, and I’m just one person, if other people know of similar figures, it could easily add up to 700 .
There are about 10 or 12 ST holders kicking round in our family and, apart from 1 or 2 of the younger ones, the others haven't been back to a game yet.
Why are people saying ‘I know season ticket holders who dont go to the game’ like it’s a good thing ?

I don’t think people mean it that way Sinbad it’s a means of explaining the low numbers. I gave back four season ticket monies last year as a good will gesture to the club, I firmly believe that people actually bought a season ticket this year KNOWING there would be a chance they will not go or at least miss quite a few. We are living in quite unique times, I know people who are still lock-downing or at least taking much more secure methods of “living”.

Seriously?
No,not seriously.Just that they may not return at all is what I mean.
It's a discussion about how many people are staying away and, if they are, is the reason Covid or the poor showing on the pitch. In my experience, it's predominantly Covid. You're right to say that might never change but, really, what can Widnes do about that?
Some people unfortunately have been scared into even leaving their front door let alone attending a stadium with a few thousand people in.
New Zealand have just announced a nationwide lockdown for one case.
how much longer can they go on living their lives like that?
