Yep we will finish third from bottom but some people will accept it. We will roll on to next year with people wanting to give it another go. What is being served up at the moment is a disgrace.

Correct. Too many dickheads stand at the perimeter fence at full time and clap these Jokers off. They’re part of the problem. The players probably think, “the punters are happy with our efforts. Same again next week” Paulie xx

Couldn't believe the amount of people who clapped the team off today.

The player’s efforts this season don’t deserve applauding.

The starting pack had just 62 appearances between them, with the exception of SMITH and GRADY, who admittedly are far more experienced. This will be the start of the story, as even at this level, just 49 appearances for the front row. Clearly not game hardened or experienced enough to compete at this level - but you can only play what you have available. A number of the backs are not good enough, either. The situation is dire.

We played well at Halifax just over a month ago losing by a point, so if we can put a decent team out, and playing at home , we could beat them.

We could make a case in theory based on other results for winning any or even all our remaining games. It’s just that the last couple of performances in particular don’t given that much confidence we can achieve it.

The players have been shielded from much criticism as the board and latterly the coach has been the target but ultimately, those players have enough quality between them to finish higher than 3rd bottom. I didn’t go the match on Sunday but seeing dewsbury using squad numbers of 30+ throughout their team due to their injuries and we still got rolled, makes this defeat appear more sickening.

4 tries to 3 to Widnes - two penalties under the posts for Dewsbury reveals the same old story.

Just watched the "highlights". Is it me or does it look like a couple of pub teams having a match at the local park? Were there any Dewsbury fans there?

How on earth can teams like Dewsbury survive if they cannot attract any local interest? It also shows how fortunate the Widnes club are, to have a hard core of supporters. It will be difficult to retain these supporters, unless the club show that they are looking to build for the future. They have made a decent start for 2022, but a lot more to do.

So knock off the Widnes contingent and Dewsbury have at least 650 hard core supporters. Its as I said on an other thread; with approx 2000 season ticket holders and VIQI we should not be struggling against this kind of opposition.

Know what you are saying, but if you think about it, we averaged half or even less than half of the likes of Leeds when we were in SL, yet we beat them, Wire, Saints and Wigan quite a few times.

Comes down to desire and organisation on the day.

Over the course of a season we should be finishing above them, agreed.....this is where the problem lies, we have clearly underachieved significantly over the season.

Bring on the end of September!!

Where do people get this 'approx 2000' season ticket holders from? We've had nowhere near 2000 attendees at our home games, since the crowds were allowed back. I'd say it was more like 1200.

Paulie xx
