Danny craven

Just seen the Toulouse highlights. Extremely stupid and cheap shot from craven which resulted in the try from his (sin binning) and also remember back to the Bradford game him shoving a man at the play the ball which resulted in six again and a try that got them back into the game. He’s are best player when he’s on form but he’s been very hit and miss this season and unfortunately with Gilmore out and Lyon’s in I feel like he’s just cruising around the field could really do with a kick up the arse to get him going and get us firing. Desperately needed him for the last 5 mins of the Toulouse game and could’ve won it with him on the pitch. Anyone else got an opinion on this?

I'd question the best player quote.

He's always been hit and miss and injury prone plus it's his last season as far as I'm aware so maybe he's not really arsed 🤷‍♂️

He was sin binned for a stupid attempt at a shoulder barge  at Sheffield away the other week.  I agree he can be hit and miss .

Are we better with Danny on the pitch? Of course we are.

Nobody knows what a player is thinking when he's in the 'battle'

While he wears the shirt he gives his all, he always has. Get behind him, and move on.

I think he gives his all for the club and like all players can get frustrated when things go wrong

No need to call him out for errors, you never made one ?

players need support at the moment not sly digs

It was a needless and costly foul and I am sure Kear will have given him a rollicking for it. But can’t see what would be gained by dropping a key player when we are already looking thin on the ground for options. Think we should move on and hope he’s back to the sort of form he showed when we beat Halifax in the upcoming games.

@ditton-donkey no one’s calling him out am asking for opinions and thoughts on his 2 sin binnings in as many weeks and one of which was very costly this week. That’s all just opinions not sly digs.

What's this 'move on' thing all about ?

@sinbad - From my perspective, the game is lost now, the club should be looking forward and doing everything to make sure they win on Sunday rather than dwelling on the errors made against Toulouse.

I'm sure the club and players are moving on but I don't see what difference it makes talking on here about turning point incidents during games.

'Move on' re; Craven incident/sin binning, 4 missed kicks at goal, missed tackles, Owens dropping the long kick.

It's no use dwelling on it, picking holes in individual players, we just have to try and be better next time out.

To be fair I think performance levels are way up on last years and apart from Sheffield we have been in every game that's what we were all asking for at the start of the season!!! I do t think there's much more the players can do !! People make mistakes!! I think our problem lies in the board could take pressure off and fund a couple of new players to help the squad

Paulie no disrespect but that souds like a quote from Groundhog Day.

We need to address and try to correct the mistakes and foolishness otherwise why are we here. My main concern is not individuals but the team performance, we still cannot dominate a tackle to slow down the PTB and we cannot move up after the PTB to restrict yardage and slow down momentum. Also when we are tackled we never look like we are trying to get up to PTB which every other team bar us do and wins the odd penalty by doing it. Basic RL which we haven't done for a long time, have said it before maybe someone needs to piss on the corner flags cos I can't think of any other explanation why we cannot do the basics.

Exactly. We needed to 'move on' after Bradford, then Sheffield and now Toulouse. If the team aren't learning and preventing the previous errors and misdemeanours then we'll never move on.
