We had six props at the start of this season. Given what happened it would seem a massive punt to start with five or less.

I agree MT a minimum of 6 props is required to allow for injuries work commitments etc
we need to learn from the issues arising this year and ensure we are as well placed as possible not to suffer them again
Having only 5 props would risk repeating the mistakes of this season and ending up with Baker and Grady in the front row. In the modern game you have 4 props in the team not 2. Running with 5 would not cover for injury and suspension especially with no academy.
Definitely need 6 decent forwards as I think they win the games and the backs decide by how many.
Maybe Fozzy has a mate in London?
Greg Richards??
Richards has signed for Hull KR.
Pat Moran plying his trade at London now presumably would happily move back to the North West, would do a good job for us and still only a young lad.
One potential prop, Greg Richards from London has signed for Hull KR. Also Newcastle have announced they are full time next year, so I guess that cancels out London going part time.
And probably the twins coming back!
I would guess that Newcastle (owned by a RU owner) will be looking to take part in the 12 man team idea that the RU are starting. They can use RL squad players, backs particularly.
I didn't mind the Chaps myself, they weren't as bad as some made them out to be.They are OK at this level. But three very tall forwards without much grunt in them,is a bit much in one a squad.
Teams seem to manage with solid, obstinate props who are happy to drive in hard, leaving the clever stuff to others.
Height can be an advantage but not always!
In PT outfit where the player lives, and his job plays a big part in the availability. Bennion, for instance, went to a League 1 club from Championship for something, I'm sure.
