Widnes were excellent today. Each player contributed. Matty Smith took a heavy knock early on and it really fired him up. The new players didn't look out of place. We have lacked competition for places recently but today everyone had a dig. Good to see Aaron Brown back, he does the little things so well. Our bench players gave us a lift when needed and kept the intensity high. We had to soak up alot of early pressure on our line but managed to tough it out. Great to see so many kids getting pictures and autographs at the end.

Decent performance today.. field and Johnson look alright.. good to have browny back too.. hopefully we have turned a corner from the turnip regime. Was decent enough atmosphere considering the awful displays we've had recently.. Delta is happy.. I'm sure our passionate Pascal friend will be banging his baguettes in pinkies 🤣

Nice to see the ball passed around with some plan and urgency.
Made a difference to have 4 genuinely good Championship standard props rotating.
Now need to do it against a better standard team: we have only beaten the bottom 4 and won a narrow one in the Halifax mudbath. Be good to see good performances at Sheffield and at home v Bradford.
I thought Field started slowly - understandable really as he is still getting used to his new team mates. However he got into his stride quickly, he has a running style that will be a handful in this division.
Josh Johnson was solid too, hope his injury isn't too bad.

It worked well, a good move for the future.
The ball tended to go to the left rather than to Ince's wing, but Edge is quick and also a good stand-in goalkicker if ever one is needed.
@sunny Looks as if he has put a bit if beef on ! Must admit that I was puzzled by his selection but it made sense very soon after KO!!
I have moaned about our lack of variety in attack, mainly in not using the kick, in all its forms. Defences are much better these days and you need ways to get behind the defensive line. We haven't got a battering ram pack and variety reduces the effectiveness of big packs in defence.
There looked to be good communication on Sunday and that helps!
@dme1975 Simply because we had other wingers available and that I thought that Edgey was a more a general 'back'. We don't have data about sprint times of course or if players have minor knocks.
Anyway, that team that took the field were all singing from the same hymn sheet and that showed!!! There is nothing to suggest that other players wouldn't have fitted into that plan, so it's a win all round!
