The council should be addressing the situation whether the club complains or not. As they will have cost themselves revenue but not being adequately staffed yesterday.
I feel sorry for the people who were staffing the bars.
Another example of a management error resulting in frontline workers getting earache from annoyed customers.
It is the clubs duty as tenants to complain to HBC about the pathetic service they provide.
Likewise, there is a chance for HBC to cash in on a market that will reduce Council deficits!
To be honest Sandy I couldn't care less about HBC making money, my concern is that fans will not bother turning up. There is a good chance that many of the £1 ticket fans won't be arsed to come back because they are unable to get a pie and pint without missing twenty plus minutes of the game. This is why the club should be asking questions of HBC.
You'd have to be a very mean and ungrateful person to buy a ticket for only £1 and then take the huff because you missed 20 minutes of the game when you chose to stand in a queue.
I missed 15 of the first half by waiting in line but that was my decision to stay in the queue. At no point would I think to blame the club for it.
Friends of mine work in the hospitality trade. They've been hit very badly by absences due to Covid. Perhaps this was a reason why there were so few staff serving?
Was it just the north stand that had problems with lack of staff

Yes the South Stand had waiter service and a personal butler for every spectator.
The council should be addressing the situation whether the club complains or not. As they will have cost themselves revenue but not being adequately staffed yesterday.
Lets be honest it was pathetic
I chose not to wait in the queue for 20 minutes because i love to watch my team
But the match experience was certainly dumbed down by really poor planning.
Now i also know there are some very capable staff who work at the stadium as i had my wedding there and it was fantastic
So the management of the vikings need to sit down with the council to sort this madness out
Everyone wins
That stadium stresses me out more every time I go there.
that yesterday in the North Stand was a total farce and I have no doubt whatsoever it will put some people off going again, particularly some casuals who may have had the £1 tickets.
@mick-george So that means it can't be a possible reason then? Just because you're stuck of Covid doesn't make it not a fact.
Got to say how genuinely surprised I am at the number who value a pint as a 'must have' to enjoy the game.
All comes down to long held habits I suppose.
Drinking a freezing pint in a freezing stadium would mean that I would spend most of the game in the loo!!!!
Concourse Bars are one of life's genuine mysteries... It doesn’t matter how many staff there are behind the counter, there'll always be a big queue...
