They have been lucky with the merger of the leagues. The way things are going they may have to start again. So if they apply to join the pro ranks like Goole now they will go straight in to the Championship.

For us it's actually better to have them in. Its good to have a couple of more local sides to play like Salford and Swinton alongside Oldham. All our traditional rivals are in SL.

@dan1

more questions than answers really

assume salfraud are gone and they become a phoenix club - where will they play ? Doubt at the current stadium as they will have to prove their solvency, where players from as all contracts will be nil and void

but as stated if allowed back into the comedy show the rfl runs they would be in the same league as us

If so very interesting as the winner gets an extra .25 points in the IMG gradings, which could make life difficult for shuddersfield and salfraud( mind you I think they have gone anyway - may even below Widnes in those gradings)

think Toulouse and York already in on the gradings, so then it gets interesting !

Toulouse v York final

Yeah, or vice-versa to be pedantic.

I watched the Toulouse v Bradford game on a stream.

The reception was shite, as it kept freezing, and the commentary was in French, but...

Apart from that, no problem! 🤣

What damage (if any) has today's result done to the Bulls' SL chances?

Someone on Facebook, has posted that it's York, Toulouse, and Lockyer's Lads who are getting the nod.

All three have have state of the art stadia, and finance doesn't seem a problem either, which is summat you can't accuse the Odsalites of, but..........

I still will not be surprised if there's top tier football played at BD5 8LG come next term.

Spelly.

Bradford directors paid for them to fly out a day early on Friday so they wouldn’t be at a disadvantage. Didn’t work, they must have had jet lag in the second half 🙄

Rumours that Featherstone are delaying player wages for September and potentially further.

Not good.

So the fev bandwagon hits the rails - no surprise there

wait for the rest to see reality

most championship clubs are skint ( along with 3/4 of super league)

but according to the IMG gradings they are all ok !
that includes salfraud of course

joke

Well it looks like Toulouse have secured their place in SL with a win today.

Assuming Salford will be relegated and York will get one pick, who do you think will get the second pick?

Congratulations to Toulouse. If they aren’t one of the teams that are welcomed into SL then it’s simply a disgrace

It’s going to be difficult to leave Bradford out, with Big Nige involved and if they don’t include London, will their Australian backers still be involved, and will Demetriou still be coach?

Said it before but I reckon Toulouse and possibly York will be in the top 12 IMG gradings

so the extra 2 will come from bradfraud, London, vikings, shuddersfield, Oldham, fev and doncaster

money is on bradfraud and the cockeneys with their massive following

I actually think it is difficult to include Bradford, because of Nigel Wood's involvement in the RFL. No one will believe they could be an independent choice and there will be cries of "fix" across the RL community, if they are selected.

Has to be York and Toulouse, with probably London - only in RL will a team with crowds of less than 1000 and finishing 10th in the league, get promotion through an "independent" Panel. Widnes must be worth some thought, but we haven't got a Wood or a Hetherington pulling strings in the background.
