Good to see them back. Hopefully both fit to play.

Surely Tilleke, Brown, Brooks, Holroyd and JJ will get a game.

Rest anybody carrying a knock, play all the players who haven’t had regularly game time and try a couple of players out of position if necessary to do the above.

Shows how weak the squad now is as we cannot rest the pivotal players due to no cover.

Couldn’t care less about this or the Challenge Cup.

For Championship clubs it’s pointless. Not going to win the CC, highly doubtful we’ll manage to beat a Super League club and then there’s only a couple of clubs that would represent a pay day.

That's your point of view V25, however I couldn't disagree more.

This afternoon I'm going to watch us play an amateur side. I expect that we will comfortably win but West players will be showing what I love about RL - effort, pride in your club, playing to the best of your ability and enjoying the contest, even if you do get physically battered!

I'm lucky in that I've seen Widnes play at the very top level, and although obviously we won't win the cup, I still want to see every player on the pitch today demonstrate their passion for the game and use whatever skills they have, and come off the pitch feeling they've done the best they can.

In other words, to me the great game of RL isn't all about winning (as I know from my own playing days!!).

I agree, give the cup a good go. We arnt going to win the league or the cup sadly. But give both a good go and get as far as we can. I would like us to make the SL rounds and get a good home tie.

Likewise today is an opportunity for an expansion side to play a famous name in a big stadium so it's a big day for such a new club.  We need to support the game for it to grow, I think that's RL's biggest problem, clubs look out for themselves rather than the game as a whole and that stifles growth.

Are we ok to wear trainers in the South Stand and write graffiti. If if they try to serve me a pint in a glass things could get nasty.

Entertaining game but nobody has stood out this afternoon in probably what will be a cricket score. JJ is playing well though.

Best atmosphere in the South Stand for ages, and good vocal support too for the visitors.

I would like favourable draws then a big Super league team away for extra revenue, which could help in the following season on recruitment. I like this season to get in the top 4 and next year go for it. 🥖🥖
