A good draw for us and a decent crowd expected after the 7k vs Warrington last year. It makes getting off to a good start in the league more important to build interest. Of course we have to beat Thatto Heath.
London vs Bulls tie of the round, I expect a London win. After seeing us vs Warrington and the size of the gap between mid table Championship vs mid table SL, I would not be looking forward to playing KR if I was Lock Lane or Brighouse! Since full time and modern training the game has moved on. They will have a big game to look back on yes but will get absolutely battered. Amateur vs SL Champions will be painful.

Last time Leeds came here in the Challenge Cup they brought a dreadful following.

@vikingfox71 I dont think Vegas will have an impact, if you have enough money and are that big of a fan to go all the way to Vegas I dont think an hours drive to Widnes will make much difference.How many are supposed to be going over?
I agree that Yorkshire based clubs dont travel over this way that well in general. We only have 3 games before facing them, London, Thatto Heath and North Wales so a good show against London is important. I suppose getting beat 50 - 12 by another SL side in Warrington may put a few off. But the cup game last year was probably the highlight of the season for us.
Leeds won't have played a competitive fixture prior to this so hopefully we can give them a game for an hour or so.

Leeds won't relish playing on the I-pitch, it will be interesting what side they put out against us. I expect it to be a similar contest to the Wire cup-tie, last season.

With Widnes being the home club, won’t it be up to them when they play the match?
I think it’s by agreement, but if they can’t ..who knows
our stadium might not be available on every day that weekend, so we will see
i reckon it will still be Sunday, but I would love a Saturday evening game
