Thanks for the updates Glynn.
Not as tough an opponent as I had feared, in the end possibly not tough enough to be a good test but gametime is gametime.
Decent run out...no more than that really.
Halifax were easily beaten by Huddersfield's first team, Leigh lost 40-14 to Salford's first team and obviously Bradford, I thought played decently at times, against Leeds but lost...
Is it better to be easily beaten by a SL Side but get battle hardened, or play a SL Reserve team and win?
Should have some decent confidence at least after today...
Thought Wilde and Farnworth had added some timber since last year. A couple of the new backs (hopefully I'll start remembering their names😂) looked lively as well. Great to have Smith and Tomkins in the side.
Hard to evaluate the performance given the youthful nature of the opposition but it appeared a decent display from the stands.
Thought Craven was excellent and Owens, Tomkins, Wilde and Moran all went well. Good to see both wingers scoring tries that required a bit of pace with the Cross effort probably the try of the match.
It was a good opportunity to see how the squad are performing under Tim Sheens, and that second win should boost their confidence.
I was pleased to see that they all looked match fit - not like the poorly conditioned full-time players we had under our previous coaches
