Well done to every single member of the club, not always perfect but certainly put the effort and graft in to secure a fantastic play off spot, you all fully deserve that well done ……..Now …..York

@farnworth-viking

Just be ready for the ptb nudging etc.

How did Reilly go?

Did okay considering it’s his first game of the season but he definitely lacks match fitness and doesn’t look upto speed but obviously that’s expected, tough game to come into reckon he’ll be a good one next year tho.

Brilliant character to get the victory after the near misses v Toulouse and York. Would have preferred it not to have gone all the way to the end though 🤣

All in all, a good season and to get 5th is a bonus!

Be great to take a big following to York and even better to win.

Great result and well done to all involved getting the 5th place finish considering lots had us in a ‘relegation dogfight’ before a ball had been thrown.

all in all its a positive step forward and progression from every other season we’ve had since relegation. Most fans seem back onside and support the coaches and lads on the field

I think a lot of Widnes fans should be apologising to Coleman and Hamilton as this has been are best season since relegation, hopefully a big following to watch us smash York! And then a big boost in season tickets for next year…

2025 Vikings will be a top 4 team no doubt.

@pascal  That was Coleman's interview before today's game. He said Bent missed today due to last week's head knock, so he should be back for York.

Brooks will be missing as got 2 matches at disciplinary. So short on props which against the big York pack does not auger well. Reilly  & Field will have to play. Field  put his hand up today but not fully fit. Just hope Murray & Kirk came through unscathed

I’m afraid ill  be missing it, as I’m in Cyprus, only the second game I’ve missed this season (Toulouse), but I’ll be back to go to Bradford next week 😁.

At least it’s going to stay dry, which is good for us, but quite windy, rain. about 6 according to all the forecasts

I think we will do it, but probably be close, unfortunately .

What do you want to watch Bradford V Featherstone for?

Paulie xx

We finished the half playing much stronger than Barrow.

James Gordon, commentator, mentioned our strong subs bench. He also mentioned two "incidents" during the last few minutes. Fleming break, Ince put clear who drew their FB, looked to pass to Fleming who was tackled without the ball with an open line in front - ref waved play on. Also Gilmore 5 yds out, passed to Fozard with a clear line, Barrow hand tried to intercept but knocked on - again play waved on. Could anyone at the game comment on these incidents as James couldn't understand them.

I can explain - Liam Rush is the ref!

Cheers so Bent will replace Brooks. Any news on Sam Wilde, Brett Bailey and  Lucas Green? We all know Johnstone and Langtree out for the season.

According to Radio Cumbria commentators he gave Widnes everything, he let at least 6 offsides go and another 5/6 blatant forward passes go as well😁 Thought it didn’t sound like the Tish that had reffed so badly at our place a couple of times.
