In the end: not good enough and shouldn’t be accepting loses.

But that game could’ve gone either way, just like we could’ve gone either way with the half time score.

The last try was irrelevant as we had to try something, the big difference was their penalty for a very controversial call and Gilmore missing ours.

Not good enough, but certainly a step in the right direction after the last two performances (I know it wasn’t hard).

First half we really got it wrong! Second half a fair recovery.

Whatever happened to the swear filter?

@steve regarding the swear filter, it’s probably in the same hiding place as that shower of shite that produced such a fantastic first half performance! Absolutely disgraceful performance, no doubt the happy clappers will be wetting themselves with that magnificent second half showing. Embarrassing.

Well get your hands in your pockets owners and buy a number 6 and 2 big props. Absolute shite. It seems the board are happy to not make the playoffs again 💩💩🙈

At least we seem to have found a bit of consistency

We have two spare props, one was 18th man and a centre was a sub and the other prop is out on loan, then he carries on playing the best hooker in the division at 13.

Can’t understand why we don’t just play Brown at 13 and interchange our two hookers.

fudge experience, Kinder’s team selection is no better than grinning Franny’s. It’s baffling. I get Kinder doesn’t knock on, miss tackles etc, but FFS why play players out of position?

It seems the coach does not rate  Walker and Tilleke. Personally I like someone better than these 2 players, but I feel be more balanced the team with Tilleke and Walker. JJ should not play 13 and prefer him at interchange hooker. The coach does have to be questioned though. 🙈👍

He brought Walker here, so if he doesn't rate him it makes his judgement look off.

In isolation, not an abject result and some fight shown.

However, in the pattern of now 5 losses in 6 games and a record of 5 wins in 13 since the start of March....

JK at Widnes: P27, W13, L14, D0: Win%48.

In comparison: SF P33: W14, D1, L18: Win%42

                       KP: P34: W19, L15, D0: Win%56

                       DB (2011) P 29: W17, L11: D1, Win%58

                       PC: P56: W32, L23, D1: Win%57.

Purtill, Betts and Cullen all had significantly higher win rates and, as we all know, all had their critics in their times here. That's without even mentioning the likes of McCormack or Kelly.

It also begs the question of recruitment being consistently wrong since we went part time.

I turned the radio off after 15 minutes

I just can’t believe how far we have plummeted as a club and am finding it hard to keep positive

@cj91 He was in charge when Tilleke was given a two year deal then doesn't play him when we have no props then sends him on loan when we still are short of props the mans a lunatic.

Walker had a poor game at Whitehaven as I saw it anyway. Which might explain him not playing today but being continually light on props is doing us damage. Tilleke may or may not be up to this level but he had a decent dig when he played against Fev and probably deserves a chance to have a run from the bench again for us.

@mt The thing is he plays players out of position all the time and leaves the players out who actually play at that position becoming a joke now.

Davies and Lawton played well in the front row.

Brown should be our starting 13, with JJ interchanging 9 with Fozard. Different team today when Brown was on the field.

Key moments were around Gilmore today. Give an intercept early on which they score at the end of the set. Missed a kick from in front to draw us level and then messed up in the last minute in which they go up the other end and score.

It shouldn’t be acceptable and shows how far we’ve fallen- but- that performance was alright. Not brilliant, but certainly an improvement on recent showings. Also notable how the style of rugby was different. Played a lot more rugby, whether that was instructed by the coach or not.

It does feel we’re only just delaying the inevitable with Kear, though. Performances and results are not good enough. But unless we improve our recruit i fear we’ll be in the same situation next year
