Very impressed with crowd sunday, slightly over 4K

crusaders brought a few - max 200 ?
so Saturday should be the same if not more ( have Leeds sold their 500 ?)

hopefully we can build on this but the lack of regular fixtures does not help

and if Saturday is a 4K crowd we should bank about £20 K

which will be extremely useful

thoughts ?

Attendances were

Barrow Raiders 38-4 Salford RLFC:                   2,170
Dewsbury Rams 22-20 Keighley Cougars:  Not Known
Midlands Hurricanes 26-24 Doncaster:                332
Widnes Vikings 28-14 North Wales Crusaders:   4,018
London Broncos 25-8 Oldham:                         2,330
Halifax Panthers 28-10 Batley Bulldogs:            1,740
Rochdale Hornets 20-14 Workington Town:          693
Swinton Lions 24-28 Goole Vikings:                    622
Whitehaven 6-54 Newcastle Thunder:                 809

So of everyone who went to a championship game 32% were at Widnes. Well done to all involved, including many who are on this board.

The money is great and will help bolster new signings and while there is a feel good factor push the VIPs now get a couple of hundred new members once the ball is rolling it's difficult to stop and it's a long time since we've had the feel good factor

The team did what they needed to do on Sunday and that was get the win and by a decent margin.

the club did loads to try and boost the game day experience (from what I seen on socials) and fingers crossed most of it worked well

lers hope that the 4k wasn’t a one off or fluke or just some promotional ticket style thing and if the team can continue to win at home then hopefully the crowds can stay upwards of 3k each home game

The season ticket sales close to 1800 on the Tim Holmes interview, so if 1000 walk ups we are in for a good shout on attendances with a good feel factor.

Look at London, just 2,300 fans and vs their main rivals for the title. Lockyer, Demitriou, Capmbell-Gillard, a massive win vs Widnes last week. What else can they do. 4,300 last home game vs Widnes was with free tickets, but they didnt come back. A 2,000 drop off from 1 home game to the next. London isnt interested, never has been.

Unfortunately for us, Saturday is a shared gate. So obviously, the more at the game, the merrier. Also, the tickets are cheaper. I don't know what the kick-back is for getting to the 3rd round, or for allowing the game to be streamed on the Sportsman channel.

@pauliewalnuts it's not a shared gate mate.....was agreed in round three super league clubs will only take travel expenses...was a gesture on SL clubs part probably in the case of a scenario they drew a community club

Thanks for that Cumbria viking - I had forgotten about that

so we could make £30 K plus then

4000 at average £12= £48000

minus costs - £5K

travel expenses for Leeds - £5K

gives us £38K

@7-vikingnomad less paying for the ground and council staff I think you could take quite a bit off that I'm afraid

Aren’t all the match day council staff and security paid for by the council, as it’s their stadium?

I’m sure the figure banded out by SM on a podcast with James taken home from the wire game was 36k on that 7k attendance

We pay rent on stadium but the staffing will be added all the waiting staff , stewards , kiosks, bar staff add all that up it's a pretty penny the council aren't just charging us for the pitch and stands it's the whole package expensive business
