Credit where credit's due, I have noticed more risk being taken this year with ball in hand.seems to be trying to forge a connection between players and fans too, clearly not helped by the nonsense going on around with the North Stand situation.

Dewsbury away next week which despite them being a bit of a bogey side for us (I notice they beat Batley comfortably today) should win that too.

Not surprised one bit he's up to now starting to have an effect ..still early doors but he is starting to tick few boxes ..not quite sure with his loyalty to gregson who's offered very little but hopefully in time get proven wrong ..have spoken to a few people in the game that have lauded how good he is as a coach..how he builds a " them Vs us" mentality..a tight knit squad ...let's face it he got panned as an appointment and continues to be by the very same people who said littler "was a done deal"...still early doors but promising so far ..but that'll be tested against better teams and when injuries start to kick in and tests the squad size ..for now ..up the cheeky chemics

agree CV about Gregson, he doesn't seem to do much. Lloyd and Butt have been good signings though. Lyons even seems to have a bit more confidence this season taking on the line. Tougher tests await, but so far so good.

Hopefully he can offer solid progression, the amount of coaches we have been through since Betts is unbelievable.

Think it was flash that recently highlighted that the clubs changed coach the past 6 ISH seasons ..get nowhere doing that in any sport ..maybe within the current madness there's a clear plan that this is the guy we're gonna back to rebuild the club ..build a culture ..reconnect ...but as good an idea that is it needs others off the field to stop constantly pulling the rug from under the playing staffs feet with idiotic behaviour.. decisions etc

Certainly there seems to be a game plan in operation for a start! Gilly is a very capable manager at the centre of it and using JJ and bringing Foz back alongside Walker and Langtry to speed up as the opposition tires seems to work.

There is still stuff to work on, our right side defence looked a bit dodgy, but that is always the case as the team grows.

I must admit to being a bit disappointed that Jacko didn't make the try line but he's not that slow or our speedsters would have caught him up!!

Jack also made two try saving tackles - one in each half.
