Into the business end of the season and there are no fixtures v the likes of Featherstone or Toulouse to come.
What are people's expectations for the rest of the season?
For me, I would be very disappointed with less than 5 wins: we have shown we can beat/compete with all of the remaining teams we have left to play: we need to finish as high as possible and be ready to kick on again properly next season....
I think we can win 7 out of the last 9, providing we don’t get a lot of injuries.
It's just a case of fullfilling the fixture list and fielding a team.Be glad when it's over to be honest.

This.
This season has always been about building and having a bit of stability. Hard to believe this will be the first full season since we went into administration, and even this season has been played with the back drop of a pandemic
Just hope we can finish the season with a bit of momentum and excitement to take into next season.
We have 4 home games - Batley, Halifax, Oldham and Bradford. There is only the Oldham game that you would expect them to win.
The five away games are against London, York, Dewsbury, Whitehaven and Swinton. I would say that only the Swinton game is one that you would expect them to win.
I would anticipate 4/5 wins and hopefully look forward to a better season - with a full squad - in 2022.
The problem that we have is that we will have nothing to play for - little chance of making the play-offs and pretty safe to avoid relegation. You will have players not offered a contract for next year, retiring or signed up with another club for 2022, who are unlikely to give 100% and would want to avoid injuries. There could also be unrest in the squad between those not offered a contract and those given a contract next year.
The sooner the club announces retentions and signings for 2022, the better. We can then put 2021 behind us as a truly forgettable season due to covid and under-performance and hopefully look forward with some confidence to 2022.
I’d say 5 wins would be satisfactory and any more than that would be a good finish to the season. Realistically any remaining hopes of the playoffs went with the narrow defeats in the key games with London and Fax. Think we will end up 7th or 8th. Not great but enough to think with the right recruitment we can step up on it next year and have a decent crack at a playoff finish.

Spot on.
We are not going to be promoted and we won’t be relegated. Just go out and enjoy playing rugby because they can.
I’m not ‘itk’ as they say and, to be honest, don’t particularly want to be but it seems to me that off the field we are being sensible and taking decisions that have to be made to ensure the club has some sort of future, whilst on the field, if we have everybody fit and available, we can give a good account of ourselves against just about everybody except perhaps Toulouse who are in the wrong league.
Far more important this season is what the clowns who ‘run’ the league conjure up for next season.
Indeed, not knowing what prize money you are playing for and money allocated next year makes it very difficult to budget and recruit i hope we can win 7 of the last games- we have competed with the teams we lost to and should beat the teams we have beaten if a# expected Toulouse go up and Leigh come down, it will be interesting to see how teams recruit, there will be no obvious clear favourites
No relegation this season is what I heard from watching the final on Saturday.
I'm not to sure who said it but it was definitely said.
I think James mentioned it on twitter also.
If no ones getting relegated, does this mean no ones getting promoted either? Because I can’t see them having a odd number of teams in SL
Toulouse won’t be very happy
I’m sure I’ve seen that tweet from Flash as well JJ65
cant find it though
been searching for it today and any other mention but to no avail
Be surprised if it was the case to be fair, Toulouse and indeed Feth would be livid and rightly so
London game off so that makes it 8 games left fingers crossed!!
You’d be surprised if this is the last game lost to Covid. Unless the isolation rules change there will surely be more to come.
If London cannot fulfill the fixture don't we get the points & a 24 - 0 points score? Or has that rule changed?

You have got to have less than seven players with covid related circumstances for that to kick in.

Reading the club website, the game has been cancelled because London have 8 of their “top 25 players” isolating. The clubs have agreed that there is no alternate date so London should forfeit the game as the standard 24 - 0 result ?
