Is this a good moment to point out that PF and SF's carefully planned recruitment process is looking resoundingly successful at the moment too?  😱

And with the greatest will to RoB, why is he Caretaker Coach and not either Bob Beswick who has played Championship Rugby for 15 years or Matty Smith who is an International and GF/Cup Winner?

I’d have gone with Bob Berwick myself.

Depressing and who brought these shite players to Widnes 🙈

Thing is Pascal, they aren’t shite players. We know they are capable of better as we saw better than this in the first four games. We have two weeks off now which is hopefully time to get a new coach in and a few training sessions to generate the bounce we need to Workington on 15th.

Whitehaven on the 15th

All I can think is with the nebulous we will let RoB and the Staff/Senior Players run it this week is that they fully intend to appoint in the next 10 days and today was always a write off regardless, just with the hope that it might be a 40 points kind of defeat as opposed to the massacre we saw.

At least I hope this is the case.

You've played 'em both now, so.......

Who's going up? Lam's Lot, or Mac's Mob?

Some huge scores in our division today too. Crusaders putting 80+ past their cousins from across the country, and Skols leaking 96 at Lawkholme Lane.

Spelly.

@cj91 My worry is,I can't imagine a queue of qualified coaches queuing up to take us on.

There'll be no shortage of applicants mate, and.........

John Duffy would be my guess to get the nod.

Spelly.

Also time to get some of the TEN injured players back on the field. That would help.

Spot on, injuries have not helped but we have lost all confidence - even pascal is struggling to keep it up

we await our new coach delta who will turn it around instantly as he has all the answers

also I seem to recall we lost by 92 ? Nil to hull so this is not the worse result

but still very very bad.

possibly make the playoffs with a new coach

ill be there

onwards and upwards

Still remember people saying they'd prefer to finish in the bottom 4 of Super League so we could be in The Qualifiers and not get battered every week! Baffling.

It's almost a pleasure getting Catalans or Hull putting 70 on you in a SL game compared to this 🤣

On a serious note, still 17 games left. 9 at home. More than enough time to bring about a positive turnaround, if only for some momentum and feelgood factor for next year.

It will be our name that attracts a new coach, certainly not our squad.

Hopefully, that name will be Widnes RLFC not this 'viking' pap. Really hope we get a new badge (not the town crest) to eradicate the remnants of the OConnors, and ditch the terrible pointless nickname.
