Does this include the 1,100 Wire had sold?
poor effort if so.
was hoping for 6/7,000 attendance for this game.
Did hear Wire had sold out the West Stand. Don't know how true it is.

I know quite a few who have not bought yet but will be in the next week. Our marketing is not the best and going out into schools and advertising posters in Town.
Hopefully we can win tomorrow which should take us top of the league and then promote off the back of that. Unbeaten, top of the league etc.
With not living in widnes I am not in the position to know how well they are promoting the club in the town but a few social media posts doesn’t qualify as enough to get bums on seats. I believe the match day experience is nothing more than the game and people these days need to feel entertained for paying the prices. Before/Halftime music or junior age game
I've seen nothing promoting the game in town and I'm there every day
The cost of attending is restrictive, particularly charging for children. We have no budget, but the marketing doesn't exist.
I think the council really let us down. Stadium is poorly maintained, crammed in to seats. Seats not cleaned. Not enough concourse points open so queues to big. Food and drink choices are basic and poor. Batley as an example today had a much better offering at a decent price as well.
Everyone in the town knows this game is taking place. Some people will go, because that's what they do.
Others couldn't care less about RL, or just WV, and won't pay their 'hard earned' to watch them get beaten, at home, to a full-time SL team.
Sometimes you just have to face facts.
Warrington will win, if we get a couple of tries, I'll be happy.
Up the Chemics.

@pauliewalnuts that's part of the point, if its just a game of rugby and we get beat why would anyone come back. If you are paying £24/£25 to watch Championship rugby in a half open stand with 2 turnstiles, and one concourse. Unless you are one of the now 1,750 and shrinking hard-core fans i don't think we can just expect people to turn up anymore.
I think we need to at least have a go at getting people back to a game, put on a good show and try to grow the fanbase.

Don't disagree with you @Dan1
When you say put on a good show, do you mean by the Team, or by the Club?
The Team can't guarantee putting on a good show as they are playing far superior opposition. They will give it their best shot, and hopefully give a good account of themselves. The Club, on the other hand, CAN put on a good show. For the price that they are charging, they can afford a bit of decent pre-game/HT entertainment, even get out the face paint for the kids. Like I said, everyone in the Town knows the game is on, but there needs to be inter-action with the Townsfolk on what is happening around the game, if anything is. It's not just about the 80 mins in 2025, people want more. Yesterday they got it at Batley. I left about an hour after full-time, and the famous Beer Garden was still packed, the sun was shining, both sets of players were mingling amongst the speccies. It was great, it had an 'Event' feel about it.

@pauliewalnuts Went up to Batley last year. The set-up is not rocket science and there is a lot of love for that club. Things like this were always led by Alan Rae and Pat price at Widnes. Big shoes to fill in the day, but have they been replaced? One of the things that is massive with the NRL Culture is the Pre match BBQ ran by fans. I have never set foot in the longboat.
@pauliewalnuts I agree if we can keep them below 40 and we can get into double figures in points it's a good result
Quite a lot will turn up on the day aswell,as for warrington I think we have given them 2,200 with the option to open the other stand if they sell that
Now 3,500+ sold but no indication as to whether that's our sales or a total.
