Pascal knows the next signing is a ball handling Front rower and you will all be happy. 😊👍

I didn't know such still existed. The last type I remember was Danny Sculthorpe.
Sandgroper, like you, I’m against loans for a couple of reasons but I think the club wasn’t entirely at fault this year. The energy nec of the delta variant and the rate at which it spread meant that parent clubs were never really able to rely on a full squad which meant loans were always a risky proposition. Perhaps it could be argued that the clubs could have predicted this but our failure to make permanent signings meant that we had to hope we could rely on loans.
Given the ‘roll through’ of Covid loans might not be such a risky prospect for next season, although if it was me I’d only want one or two loans if we were really short in a key position.

I'm not blaming the club, they were caught out by circumstances but it does show that if you are chasing a top place you need to be in control of your squad as far as possible. You can still be tripped up by injuries, Covid or whatever, but you aren't as likely to be begging for co-operation from clubs with other agendas. I think that following our long term absentees, any older players should get a good medical before we take the plunge!
Of course if you have a deeper 'understanding' with a SL club, as Fev seem to have with Leeds it would be different.

The loan situation will be a lot different next season, with players being able to train full-time with their parent club and training part-time with Widnes.
Just been announced Clough and Cook are retiring end of this season
from what I have been told Tompkins and Jewitt will be joining them when their furlough finishes
The need for a couple if not 3/4 rugged props g with Championship know how grows evermore
I said you will be happy has speed and great ball handling skills too. 👍 Pascal knows. 👌

You better tell their agent then, as he's been offering them round this week.
Good lads but lacked real aggression. Don't know if they have bulked up with O'Carroll.
could do worse than the chaps, at least we would have fwds to put on the bench
