I’ve been told we can’t play the Newcastle match at home, because the. Council have organised something at the ground that weekend.

Were looking round for somewhere to play it. We tried Runcorn, but they’ve not got any Rugby posts.
Perhaps we could play it at Warrington, let them see a good Rugby team 🙄

It's not at Runcorn because they are starting work on their pitch on the 5th May. Nothing to do with posts at all.

A venue has been sorted, just waiting on confirmation as there are a lot of boxes to be ticked, as to whether it is suitable.

Paulie xx

Colwyn bay would be a good shout tbh. I don’t want us to be seen as vultures but why not try to grow our supporter base in north wales.

Apples and oranges I know but it always baffles me how SL teams never want to play games in different regions of the UK. In the NRL, 5/6 teams play at least one match a year in a different region.

Shocking that, some of the blame must be on the RFL for not sorting the 1895 format out until the last minute. We have waited so long for this run of home games. How about Prescot Cables as the season has finished for them.

What event have the council booked that takes up the stadium all weekend?

Warrington are at home that Sunday, that would have suited me 🙂

Well it's obviously going to cost us money we only got 2100 last week with season tickets now a cup game against Newcastle (possibly 50fans) and playing it away from stadium lucky to get 1200 ? Maybe 🤔 😞

Surely, the Club could have anticipated being in this round and ensured that the ground was available for that date. Oh I forgot, this so called professional game was not able to sort out fixtures before the season started!!!

Would it be possible to arrange a mid-week game?

Or throw the game we don't get img points for it this season and we will lose money ?

No IMG points anymore, final venue TBC maybe Wakefield. A final vs London with a following of maybe 50 fans. Renting a new venue for no away fans and possibly 1,200 Widnes fans as its not a season ticket game. Whats the prize money on offer for getting to the final?

When you add all that up and apply logic, the numbers for continuing in the competition if the stadium isnt available just dont add up. I would let Newcastle proceed to the next round rather than find a new stadium.
