Having listened to the podcast (good to see it back James and Mike, great episode)... Danny Rich may be able to play in the final.
We all say that they can't carry on messing things up with structures and schedules but let's be honest they can and they definitely will!!
If they do carry on with this cup (which I think they should tbf) the final should be close to the earlier rounds (or group stage if we go back to) say end of June/start of July. Venue to be announced in January.
They definitely should bring back Finals Day, or if they choose to proceed with the daft 20 team league have the final on a neutral SL ground, on the same day as the Women's Championship Final. Have it end of September or first weekend in October.
I think they will stick with the status quo for next year because they won't want to deal with complaints of teams currently outside the Top 10 who would form the 3rd tier. And because they wouldn't want Halifax, Salford and possibly the new Featherstone not in the 2nd tier.
Some good calls there mate. But I'd argue about making an early decision for the venue of the final, coz......
If (say) your mob, and (dream on Spelly!) mine got there, and the final had already been allocated to (say) Wakey, the moans would be heard as far away as Wembley! But...............
