@martin Stop been a drama queen just cos someone doesn't rate him is that an attack ?. I like many never rated him that's our prerogative. IMO (which I am entitled to on a forum) He is Paddy Flynn mark 2 who doesn't stay on his wing in defense. Who mentioned the Workie game ?.
Agree with defence point but that may not always be his fault as has to move in ....also on attack he is already turning inside into traffic as he collects the ball...never takes on opposite winger on the outside.....
OK he can get over to score close to line but not from further out.
Does catch and run ball out of defence reasonably well...but not as well as he used to and not any better than anyone else would do.
He knows his limitations and does what he can .......lack of any sort of speed is main problem now as he has got older what speed he had is going.
Never rated him......I think I joined that club after a Friday night game at Huddersfield when a 19 year old academy player on debut took him to the cleaners both on attack and defence.....well it was Jack Wardell
Would you rather have a winger like Ince or like the player opposite to him yesterday? Real speed and given space could score from distance.
There is no point in creating space for him unless close to line as he has no speed to take advantage. Hence the centres inside him either try an inside break or just drift and get what field position they can......and OK the bombed try was a difficultish take but note Taylor didn`t give him the chance to drop another,
