Another silver medal for your neighbours, with their play-off places looking bleak.

Two weeks running where they've not finished the game off when in front.

Taxi for Burgess?

Warrington appear to have a bit of a soft underbelly, but it is hardly surprising when half their team seems to change every season.

Having plenty of cash isn't always a sure fire way of achieving the (instant) success they desperately crave.

For me; Wigan appear to have the best model, where the nucleus of their squad (generally) stay together

They regularly update and refresh their squad by drafting in decent younger players, mixed in with some experience and  top quality imports.

And, of course, they have a home grown coach who understands the mentality of the UK game.

Good call that mate. Summed it up perfectly!

Against Leythers a week ago, and again last night, they were in front, but couldn't close the game down on either occasion.

Is that a lacking from on or off the park? Or both? I would suggest that had Pies / HKR been in similar scenarios, they'd have turned the screw from that point.

And the Lions have still been champions twice since your nearest and not so dearest! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Dropping Dufty backfired on him big time, something not right so  I am hearing.

Well, similar again, but the other way round last night!

Les Cats played some lovely football in the first half, to build up a decent lead, but ended up with nowt!

They "did a Swinton" by conceding right on the interval hooter, and that seemed to be the catalyst for their downfall, as they hardly turned up post oranges.

Did Wire win that one, or did Tomkins' Tribe lose it? I'd say it was very much a case of the latter!

The commentator mentioned "Dufty fit, but not selected." Read into that what you will as to the Aussie's future at the HJS.

Got a chance of scraping a play-off spot but, even if they did, doubt they'd do much with it.

They need a recruitment drive and I'm surprised they're messing Dufty about. Williams is off at the end of the season, Snead is mid-30s, they're not much cop in the centres, Ratchford is 37, Vaughn is still their best prop and is off to York, Currie, Fitzgibbon and Matterson are all the wrong side of 30, Powell is 33.

And Burgess himself will be back to Oz at the first whiff of an NRL job.

A bit like Saints have been, they're on a downward slope at the moment, be interesting to see how they address it.

I thought Warrington were a bit lucky last night. The game changed after Makinson went off injured after getting his hat trick. The 50/50 decisions all went Warrington way. One when Fages caught a up and under 10 yards from his own line and made a break, only to be brought back for a knock on, the video ref couldn’t tell if he had, because a player was standing in the way of the camera, Warrington scored from the scrum.

Then Thewlis dived over in the corner, with 10 minutes to go, to put warrington in front for the first time, but video ref couldn’t tell if he had put a foot in touch or lost the ball while scoring, so because the on field ref had given a try, he gave it

I must admit that I get very frustrated when the video ref is attempting to decide based on very blurred videos. If that is all the evidence that is available it is pretty poor.

Very often the commentators re-run the sequence with much better and sharper video and its plain that the video ref was wrong!

That Huddersfield game was a painful watch, other than the final score. A poor standard of rugby. Some serious work to do at Warrington.

And Huddersfield have to leave that stadium, it's embarrassing.

Do Wire qualify for the disappointment / under-achievers of 2025" award? Or......................

Possibly Les Cats carry that unwanted title instead?

With the squads they have, should they both be higher on the ladder than the eighth / ninth positions they currently occupy in SL?

It’s great to see - it shows loads of money does not buy success

burgess on his way down under as an assistant coach - probably the new franchise
