I thought it was a try at full speed but, on replay, it's looks to me like it was short and then he rolled it. Rolling it is not really having control so, I was surprised it stood.
Wigan received notification from Derek that Leigh wouldn't be fulfilling the semi fixture at 10:37 at night, so I presume he'd had about 4 bottles of wine. They'll be there.
Well for once, I was right!
In the opener, I suggested a repeat of last year's final was on, and so it's proved, but..................
Will the result of twelve months ago, be reversed?
I have a gut feeling that the trophy will again be heading to the Piedome, but......
You bever know!
Other than Pinksville, OT is the handiest ground to get to from my gaff, and it'll just be a (free coz I'm a wrinkly) short tram ride to M16 tomorrow.
I've had my usual bet of a draw at eighty minutes.
What's your predictions?
Spelly.
Just back from OT, and a thoroughly professional performance from the Robins.
I said in my previous post that I reckoned Pies would win, but they were outdone this evening, by the best team in the comp.
Mikey Lewis got the "He's never turned up a big 'un" tag off his back, and I reckon he'll be in Wane's squad on Monday.
Should the O'Neill yellow have been a red? Quite possibly, but Rovers proved what a quality side they are, by crossing twice as he kicked his heels.
Nearly 69,000 of us there to witness the proceedings.
So now, bring on the Ashes!
Spelly.
If Wigan hadn’t bombed those 2 early chances, it would probably have been a different game, but they did and went worse as the match went on .
HKR have come back well from that wobble they had in the final month of the season.
it’s good to see a new name on the trophy.
I think it’s great for the game that Hull KR won it. No one would have thought it was possible 20 years ago that a team like KR could win championships and should give all teams even Widnes confidence that a club can grow and be successful.
On the other hand, KR have just won a historical treble. I’d argue the’re one of the weakest teams to achieve that feet. Implies how poor SL is now in terms of quality.

1) It sure is, and it's not that long ago when the Robins were playing Championship football, but look where they are now! So could Widnes return to the Promised Land in the foreseeable?
2) I'd argue with you on this one however mate! True, there's no "real" superstars in there. But Lewis is still only 24, and he's getting better. Morgue is maturing quickly, and I reckon Litten will be in the squad for the Ashes. The remainder of the group are "up there" in the talent stakes. Peters seems to have created a real team spirit, and moulded 'em into a quality trophy winning outfit. So no, they're (in my opinion) not one of the weakest teams to do the treble.
How say you others?
Spelly.
I think they’re a really good team but if you look are the three teams do it, then it’s night and day between the them and KR.
Bradford 03 had players such as Peacock, Fielden, Lowes , Paul, Vainikolo
Saints 06 had players such as Lyon, Robby, Cunningham, Long, Sculthorpe.
Leeds 15 had players, Sinfield, Maguire, Peacock, Burrow, Hall.
Not disrespecting KR but better teams with more internationals have completed the treble and I’d argue better teams than them missed out.
