Are Widnes running a trip to the final this year please?

Don't fancy driving if I can avoid it.

Thank you in advance!

Spelly.

So it's the big 'un again tomorrow, as I join a shed-load of Pies on one of their coaches for Wembley.

Apart from the Lockdown one, I've been to every final since '86. I'm relishing again drinking in the atmosphere in that little corner of Middlesex, and enjoying a distinctly unhealthy breakfast too!

Bring it on!

Spelly.

PS - My bet this year will be on Tyrone May for the Lance Todd Trophy.

2 hours and 5 minutes for a game of RL.

125 minutes for an 80 minute game. That means a third of the game is stoppages (inc HT).

Need to do something about it, the game's boring.

I think a lot of the extra time is poor video refs or video operators, that take ages to look at a specific moment, with about 6 angles and it takes the video operator ages to get the right angle on the screen for the video ref to look at , then he takes ages going back and to, to see if there’s a offence.
I think Wigans captains challenge was the most stupid one I’ve seen, they were winning 40-10 with a minute to go and they went for one.

I remember when 3 o'clock games used to finish at 4:30. All the extra time these days is dead time.

Walters has received a seven match ban for that horror tackle on Leyland, and I wouldn't argue for a minute about the severity of it.

The incident happened almost in front of where we were sat, and the replays on the big screen, confirmed just how bad it looked in "real" time.

@spelly I thought was NSemba rather than Walters to be honest. Should be a long ban, just to a different player IMO.

The Wigan challenge with 1 min to go was an absolute urine take.

I do like the fact that if they don't have a clear angle then a team doesn't lose the challenge, but it doesn't half take ages to get all the views & deliberate over them. Do this a few times & that is a chunk of time.

* Nsemba was defo in there, but (in my opinion) Walters was the bigger offender, and hell be sat down fir a while yet.

** Absolutely! Game long since won, and zero reason to do it!

*** They defo seem to take too long at times. I accept they have to get it right, but I'm sure they could come do a decision a lot quicker.

Correct everyone but the video ref and the disaplinary panel could see that. Yet another cock up, the panel dare not overturn the refs decision. These ppl including the video ref should be nowhere near a rugby field.

Think Wigan where proving a point with their last minute captains challenge.

Lowest attendance since people couldn't be arsed after WW2. Needs a good rethink IMO. Not a good look on the telly.

Well there are not many stadiums can take 70000 which is where we should be aiming - probably only old Trafford - or possibly spurs- not sure of their capacity

Apparently they’ve sold 75,000 tickets for Magic Weekend

@farnworth-viking Correct, but not to 75k people. Some have bought weekend tickets. So if you split it, you will have circa 37k each day in a 53k capacity stadium. That should be comfortable enough. Having been to the HD on numerous occasions, I'll be interested to see how they will manage fans coming and going. I can't see the Security allowing Fans to go across to the local hostelries, then return for another game. It'll be when you are gone, you are gone.

Paulie xx
