Since he left Leeds he's not stayed at a club for longer than one season. The most appearances he's made was for Oldham in 2021 with 18 games. Only played 14 for Salford last season (and only 7 times for us).
The lad needs to knuckle down and play some games for Salford, then see where he is in 2 years time. He is still a developing player and has a long way to go. I expect because he's been at Leeds as a kid he expects to get back to a club like this quickly - doesn't seem like a player you can trust too much if he wants away so soon.
@viking-man I've been lucky enough to work with rugby league professionals at club and international level. As an ex widnes employee I found out there is no sentiment at that level. Money talks. I fully agree with what you say. If TD moves to HKR, for example, I think it will be just another stepping stone in his big club quest. Wigan, Saints or Warrington will be watching and come in for him. But you have to question his loyalty/character to pull such a move as he is doing. I'd imagine the situation would be untenable at Salford now and a disruption to the playing group. How long before he wants to test himself in the NRL? He is a good player but as you say needs to knuckle down somewhere instead of mercenary behaviour.
Iirc the great Alex Murphy had a barney with Saints Board and the played him in the A team for weeks before he backed off!!!

A short career so the lad is entitled to go where he likes the club is just his employer not his owner, he is playing well at Salford hence other clubs will want him, he owes nothing to anyone.

We only had him on a 1 year deal, and let him go early as we got Josh Johnson in return (who we let go for nothing as well). Agreed - it's not very good business from us here at all.
