@spelly surprised at your tie been chosen by the beeb - can only think sportsman had first choice

POR's "official" name is the Millennium Stadium.
It's linked (I think) to Millennium Care Services in Ponty.
I thought we could poss be on the Sportsman, with the Beeb "all over" the Fev v Wakey tie, but no, it's the other way round!
If we have an attendance north of 500, I'll be pleasantly supplied.
Hopefully we can win, and then be paired with a Super League club in the next round, to put some much needed dosh in the till.
Spelly.
Thanks spelly, wish you well in that tie - I reckon you will win that one, be interesting to see how you get on against bradfraud on that huge pitch
but can you see it coming - we both win and end up playing each other, no massive payday for either !

Just read again and it says millennium stadium , Cardiff - that’s not the new address for POR is it ?

** Not as far as I know mate. I'm sure it's just off Station Lane in Featherstone!

Was chatting with my mate last night, and we totalled that in the three SL games that were on, ELEVEN of those players had donned a Lions' shirt at one time or another!
Brownie points to any Chemic who can name 'em!
On another matter, it's p*****g down in Monton at present, so I'm guessing it's not much diff in Bradford. The pitch didn't look the best when you were there, so I can't see there being much flowing football tomorrow in the 1895 QF.
Spelly.
@spelly. I didn't go to last week's game, mainly because of the stadium and pitch. Both are an absolute disgrace in today's game.
"Back in the old days of winter RL" we expected a mudbath on wet pitches. But this is 2024 and I hope that you are able to beat Bradford on that undersized and probably very soggy excuse for a playing surface.

As the NRL headed to Las Vegas, we went to the not quite so glamourous Odsal, where it finished.................
Bulls 21-12 Lions, and our woeful record at Bradford of only win there since 1957 goes on!
No complaints, as they were the better side over the eighty, in a game where we were never in front.
Their late try, prob put an unfair reflection on the score-line, but they'd obviously been bollocked after their poor showing against you, and defo deserved the win.
Patton got grief from minute one off the fans, but made our second try with a clever kick, as well as landing two out of two from the tee.
So the dream of Wembley has gone on one front, but on Saturday, it's Sheff at home in the Challenge Cup, which'll be far from easy, if their result against Batley today is anything to go by.
Two bad results for us this weekend, as the Pinks got the better of the Robins yesterday, but c'est la vie!
Spelly.
Tomorrow is another day, as said in a famous film !
Sheffield (with a certain Mr Hansen on board) will be heading to us on Saturday, and it'll prob be our stiffest test so far this campaign.
They've had some good wins up to now, and came away smiling from York recently, meaning we'll have to be at our best.
The capacity of Heywood Road won't be tested, as it's on the box, clashes with a round ball game, and the Eagles' fans don't (by a long way) travel in great numbers, but.................
The carrot is the prospect of being paired with a Super League team next time, and bringing some much needed dosh into our account.
Finger crossed for both scenarios!
Spelly.
I think you may sneak it on Saturday
Dear me spelly, are they trying to give this game away ?
discipline is lax to say the least
if you can hang on and get back to 13 you may have a chance - 6-14 at mo
