Rams 18-22 Lions, and yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, a win at last, and it came AFTER the hooter!

We scored first to lead 4-0, but it was 12-4 to them at the interval, and after they extended it to 18-4, it looked like game over, but.........

Two converted tries in quick succession, brought us us to just 18-16 astray, then.............

We were awarded a pen about 40 metres out, bang in front of the sticks, and (my) m-o-m, Jack Hansen (wh0 is one of only two ever presents this term) made no mistake, putting it over the black dot, with about five minutes left, and then.................

The ending you couldn't have scripted came!

They were in possession, and Paul Sykes tried a drop goal, but we deflected it, so it was a drop out. After only a couple of tackles, Sykes had another go, we charged it down, and the hooter sounded, but the ball was still in play, so we kicked on two or three times, Hansen chased it, and touched down, to send the Lions' fans (100 of us?) into raptures!

It's been a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time in coming, and we've finally got that W0, off our backs!

Dewsbury are not the best team in the Championship by a long way, but a win's a win, and yours truly is absolutely buzzing, as I await Leeds v Wire on the box!

We host Oldham next week, which (especially after today) must be regarded as more than winnable!

We are not down yet!

Oldham at home on Sunday, so what awaits?

They're just above us in the league, so after breaking our duck last week, we should be heading into this in a confident manner, but........

They're just as desperate for points as are we, so the one certain scenario is, that it won't be easy!

We're obviously still lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng odds on for the big drop, and I doubt that you'll find a Lion anywhere who'll deny it, but........

As I've said a million times, hope springs eternal!

COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!!

Spelly.

Oldham have had narrow defeats in a couple of recent games against London and Whitehaven, so no pushover, but I expect a Swinton win to follow-up last week's win. If you can hit a run of form and we can't step up from the Batley game,  your last game of the season could be an interesting one.

Can you imagine what this board will be like if (and yes it's BIG if) we need to beat you to stay up?

I can't see you being anywhere near the "dodgy mix" to be honest, although we could defo do with 'Haven doing us a favour on Sunday, by getting the better of Dews, but.

Let's get Oldham out of the way first (and a few more as well) before we even start thinking about a Lions v Chemics crunch!

I agree but I bet your final game of the season will be your biggest crowd and I hope you are still in with a chance of avoiding the drop.

You're prob right there mate, as we hosted the Bulls during lockdown.

1) I hope you bring shed-loads, but.............

2) I also hope you go home disappointed!

If Widnes continue to play as they have done over the past  months I wonder of we will have an "away following".
