Feel sorry for the supporters but when Saints are making losses of seven figures then what chance do the likes of ourselves and Salford have.

If Salford do come down I wonder whether they may play at Salford City which seems a better fit for capacity?

The situation is that the RFL and their advisors will probably have to make salfraud complete the season as otherwise they will be shown up for the fools they are.

It’s too late to put in a different team to take the fixtures as their squad would probably be beaten week in, week out - as shudders field were done in the early days of no relegation

Alternatively they go into administration and continue with a points deduction

But the truth is salfraud must have lied somewhere on their grading application or the process s just a sham

@berkeleyviking But they nearly all "lie" or do not make everything clear.  How long did Castleford and Wakefield keep going on about their "new stadium"? It seems to me at the moment that the financial bubble has burst for Rugby (Union as well as League) and people are less willing to throw money at the game.

It was said at the meeting about grading we had at Widnes, that they only checked about 1/4 of the clubs submissions, so there’s a good chance you won’t get caught out by lying.

@berkeleyviking

I was reading that Mat Peat wants the RL to increase the Salary Cap. He said our good players will be bought by Australian clubs, and we won’t be able to afford to buy overseas players.

Going against what quite a few people are saying on here, that most of  our clubs  can’t afford overseas players.

Sorry FV, a little confused by that post - so can clubs afford overseas players or not ?

On the face of it they can only afford overseas players by going into large debt, so why keep doing it? The philosophy only works as long as someone else pays the piper. Our top clubs have willing donors atm, but times can change!!!!

It is noticeable that no clubs will openly talk about reducing the off-field personnel!!!!

I would guess that Bradfud will be in line to take promotion, accompanied by a lovely architect's impression of their re-modelled Odsal with five hundred media car places giving access to the air conditioned indoor media vantage suite.

They could also maintain that the mini-pitch should remain as it intensifies the game!!!!

I am joking, but anything is possible!!!!
