With a good coach like Watson Salford with poor crowds have been managing quite well in SL for several years, despite all their financial woes.

Maybe Watson has moved to Huddersfield  because Salford’s future is in doubt and more cash is available at the Giants to buy players? I understand he turned down Hull because he wouldn’t relocate his youngish family home to the other side of the country, something he won’t need to do if it’s Hudds.

Marshall apparently favourite for the Salford job....

Perhaps goes some way to showing the lack of options out there at the moment......

So they're replacing a former Swintonian, with a former Swintonian eh?

Perhaps they should change their name to the Barton ex-Lions?

Spelly.

Although not greatly experienced, Marshall is a young British coach.

If the squad that Watson built up isn’t poached by other clubs, he should have a reasonable season  in his new club.

And that is the problem with being on a shoestring, always prey for the big boys, players will usually follow the money.
