I get that Spelly hates Salford, that’s fair enough. But, you have to take your hat off to them, 2 Finals in 12 months is some going for them. Watson clearly has something about him. I think Hull could do things with the right coach, they kept Radford for way too long, he was massively under-performing.

Did I miss that? He should have mentioned it!!!

Nothing up with Spelly posting, but do those particular posts add much/anything to the forum, when we all know what they will say before he posts, as they're all the same? I hope the pinks get stuffed etc. etc.

Its a strange one with Radford, he won 2 Challenge Cups (imagine if we were in that position!), yet the League form was always indifferent and they were always liable for a good hiding.

Pound for Pound Hull must be the biggest underachievers in the game currently, so far as League form is concerned: they've won the title 6 times, but 5 of those before 1960!

So that great Hull side of the 80's  won only one Championship ?

Think they have now put in a CVA and will get a 6 point deduction

Watson has apparently left Salford and  is rumoured to be taking over as Huddersfield coach.

Salford will be alright. Rowley will take the job and kick on.

He must have been disappointed at not getting the Widnes job! Maybe he sees the writing on the wall for Salford and further financial problems in the future unless Koukash will bail them out again. Maybe Paul Rowley will take over at Salford.

He’s supposed to be going to Huddersfield, can’t see him doing much better there, they might finish 6th at best. Wonder what’s happened itv was only 2 weeks ago he was saying on Sky, he had turned a move to Hull down and was staying at Salford.

As Salford say they’re advertising for a coach, I’d say it’s unlikely that Rowley will get it.

However, ex Toronto McDermott must be looking for a job.

McDermott does'nt seem to have much time for M62 'corridor' northern clubs so he's ruled himself out.

Would McDermott want to manage a small town northern club (with a population of 247,000, funnily enough including Swinton!!!!)?

He has..they were almost within a whisker of re-signing Hastings today but he has now decided to stay at Wigan, dont think the Watson thing had anything to do with Hastings decision as Watson only said he was leaving after the Hastings talks finished but it could be that the Hastings thing pushed Watson over the edge as the stumbling block was money apparently

As the bard of Stratford said , 'the tide, taken at the flood, leads on top better things....'.

Watto's street cred is as high as can be, standing still wasn't an option!

Their 'site states they are " --- surprised and disappointed --- " but............

At least he waited till the end of the season before heading (trophy-less) through the exit door!

Unlike when he baled out on us to go to the Pinks, and we were embroiled in a relegation dogfight, which we successfully survived without him.

It would appear to renovate the old joke of "More clubs than Tiger Woods" is apt in this scenario!

Do I feel any sympathy for our nearest, and not so dearest? Answers on a postcard to a certain stadium in Barton!

Spelly.
