RL Sell Odsal Lease Back to Bradford

This really does stink of massive favouritism by the RFL towards the Bradford club. Some may call it corruption. They bailed out Bradford by buying the lease of the ground for £1,000,000 & now have "sold" it back to Bradford at a fraction of the cost! That money would have been far better spent by dividing it amongst all the Championship  & League 1 clubs evenly.

The pitch is still not of legal dimensions as it has not for years but again the RFL continue to  turn  a blind eye. So now presumably Bradford will get income from stock car racing  or whatever while the rugby playing area remains below the legal dimensions.

It would seem the RFL are doing all they can to unfairly get yet another Yorkshire side into SL with favours that other clubs do not get.

Surely all the rest of the lower league clubs should get together to contest both these issues directly with the RFL in the strongest way possible making it clear all clubs are together on this so no individual club can be victimised by the RFL for questioning  their decision.

The Wars of the Roses isn't over yet!!!!!

'Stinks' is a polite way of saying it!!!!

Salford out and Bratfud in- simples!!!!!? Any pitch problems will be overlooked.

Who said it was a 'professional game' ? Blatantly amateurish tbh.

This may not be the best bit of business, the annual cost of just keeping Odslum to the current standard is rumoured to be a six figure sum so to get it to the next level will require big bucks. I don't know where Bratford are getting their cash from, maybe from the 'city of culture` bottomless pit!!?

I think Bratford will end up back in financial trouble in the near future, the sums don't stack up as far as I can see

Bradford are obsessed with Super League, they've never got over relegation. They're still living in 2001 when they were huge and played before home crowds of 14000 and seem to be under the illusion that they will resume that position once promoted and tens of thousands will come flocking back. They've just installed a giant screen to help their grading score, paid for by God only knows.Good luck to them but it will only end in tears again.

If this is correct and the RFL are subsidising the transfer of the Odsal lease in support of Bradford's bid for SL and also prepared to overlook a substandard ground, then other Clubs should question this, especially Salford, as it seems they are being forced out of SL with demands on them to sell players.
