LEIGH AT WEMBLEY

Any fair minded supporters would have to say what a great result that was for Leigh in yesterday's Challenge Cup semi-final!

And what an outcome for Derek Beaumont - the man who has consistently put his money where his mouth is despite his critics.

That result should/could do more for the game than any amount of nonsensical reporting from IMG.

All that needs to happen now is for Hull KR to beat Wigan this afternoon and the jobs a good 'un!

Totally agree, Darth.

It would be a great 'shot in the arm' if it ends up a Leigh v HKR final. As a sport, we need to widen the gene pool re; trophy winners. Better distribution of prize money can go towards enabling this, Saints, Wigan, Wire & Leeds will not be happy at all.

How about a Catalans v Leigh GF?

Cracking game, and well done Leythers!

I reckon the gamebreaker was not Makinson's missed con to Lomax's late try, but the pen he fluffed just before the interval. If he'd landed that, there's have been an eight point cushion for Saints.

Cheering for Rovers today, as have some good mates who are Robins.

Great to see underdogs in the final, but if kr beat the pies - which I hope happens, the attendance at final will be interesting - was it 40K last tear ?

Think it would be great if the status quo was bucked and Leigh or KR won at Wembley, especially with leigh being such a small town.

Regarding the crowd size, there's only been one crowd of over 80,000 in the last 12 years, and that figure includes the 10,000 club Wembley members, whether they attend or not. It just isn't the draw it once was.

Two amazing semis, with the "non fashionable" club winning both times.

Just hope there's another 80,000+ there with Mackenzie and I in just under three weeks' time to witness the final.

As I've said many times, I love Wembley, and for me, anywhere else comes a poor second, inc last year at Tottenham.

Our tickets arrived the other day, so.................

Who's joining us?

Spelly.
