Now holidaying on the Gold Coast!

There are NRL clubs interested but there is a suspicion that due to his early release a clause in his contract will mean that he will be restricted to a non- NRL club.

He's not.  Don't believe everything you read.

Also have to remember Williams wanted to leave at the end of the year, not now.  So is he suppose to sit in his house for the next few months?

Geoege's Dad is actually living in Australia now, so I'm surprised this has come up mid-season about him wanting to come home.

In the England squad for the game at Wire, but should he be?

He's prob our best half back, so on that basis you'd say yes, but..........

He's not kicked a ball in anger for about a month, so is he match sharp? Prob not.

I would imagine he knows who his next employer is, even though nowt's been officially announced, meaning you'd think he'll be settled as far as that's concerned, which is another positive, so............

Should he play?

Over to you!

By the way, I'll be there, who's joining me?

Spelly.

Given he’s going to part of the World Cup side in all likelihood I can’t see a reason we shouldn’t  play him in a friendly even if there is the potential for him to be a bit rusty.

Warrington have to release someone off their books before they can announce Williams.  Blake Austin was very close to a 3 and a half year deal at Leeds but it's fallen through (for now).  Very much expect them to release Greg Inglis and announce Williams over the next few days.

What is it with Leeds handing out contracts to 30 odd year old halves ? Lui, Gale,Eastmond.

Gale was the panic buy I thought, not good value they paid £150k for him too.  Lui & Eastmond have gone so it's down to no one else being available.  Leeds had a good go at trying to get Williams but he didn't want to play in Yorkshire.

Looking like Austin could end up at Hull KR, which would mean Inglis may stay and Williams can play.

Why aren’t Wigan trying to sign Williams? What is it with that club, I can’t see how they are suppose to be the “biggest club” in the game when their star players regularly leave and now they convince Williams?

Saints are the best team as they retain their key players Coote, Grace, Makinson, Lomax, Roby  etc.

Wigan would have been interested  but probably couldn't match Wire's offer

Could Wire officially announce they've signed him at the England game on Friday, live on telly?

Just a thought.

I think it is wrong that Canterbury, who  reportedly paid a six figure fee to Wigan to sign him and presumably thought that they had him tied up on a long-term contract, were put in a position of having to release Williams. His agent must have been over the moon when he could negotiate a six figure signing on fee and a big wage in the UK, although probably a lot less than he was on in Australia. This may well impact on the chances of other UK based players going to Australia, certainly with clubs reluctant to pay a fee,

Reading today that he has turned his back on Wigan and may well be signing for HKR as he is "looking for a new challenge". More likely that he is going to the club that offered most money. Just hope he can cope with the travelling to and from Yorkshire. Made me laugh when he is quoted as saying that the game is growing in the UK. He has clearly not been following the game here during his short stay in Australia.

Could you imagine James Roby or Lomax signing for KR.

I just wonder how a club like HKR can afford him?

Also, Viking Man reckons he turned down Leeds 'cos he didn't want to play in Yorkshire.

Perhaps there's some confusion between Williams and Blake Austin here.
