York beat London away in the cup. very surprising as they looked very good last week & York have had a poor start to the season.

The Broncos posted five tries, compared to the Knights' four, but could land only one goal.

London's game against us was a strange one.  They looked much the better team, bigger, faster and stronger. We were never in the game at any point and it looked like full time vs part time.

However in their first game they only scraped past Bradford 18 -14. I would say Bradford are a mid table side. They then only beat newly  prompted Whitehaven 36 - 20 after being behind for a large part of the game.  After beating us they have lost to York in the cup who have started with 2 losses out of 2 in the league.

Was it a bad day at the office for us? In pre season and the other games so far we haven't been tested.  For me Baker is our best forward and I would say overall Craven is our most creative and influential player, so  both missing the game possibly had an impact.

London have Featherstone next who are one of the favourites and we have a tough away trip to Yorkshire to face Dewsbury so we may have a better idea of where both sides are up to next week.

IMHO, London are focused on getting back into SL asap, and weren’t that fussed about this cup game.  They’re not even taking part in the 1895 competition.

So when they play York again in 2 weeks time you can expect a different result.
