Has anybody any idea what is happening to Widnes Tv, Just had a look and it’s still got as the last match the game last year against Halifax. When I typed in the crusaders game it came up with a YouTube section that I have to pay £3.99 a month to join!!! A group that shows the games and passes our information to anybody is not what I usually sign up for, anybody any ideas, please.

IIRC Widnes TV has, or will be phased out, and the Club will be using the YouTube medium instead. I will enquire for you, but not today, as it's a bit manic in the office, as you'd expect.

Thanks Paulie, thought that might be the reason but just not heard anything official from the club!!! So what now happens to all the games that are all on Widnes TV are they lost to us?

I have just been to enquire about Widnes TV.

It is now 'no more' for any new subscribers. People who are subscribers already will still be able to access the existing games/footage that is on WTV, but from now on, the Club will be using it's YouTube channel behind a 'paywall'

This means the viewers can pick and choose what they wish to watch for a small fee rather than fork out £50-odd. And WV get the IMG score up, as IMG don't recognise Widnes TV, but do recognise all other social media links.

Hope this helps (and makes sense!).

Living in the states means I can’t get to the games but I’d be more than willing to pay to watch the games on YouTube channel

Hi mate, I agree having some coverage for people living in other countries, as there is probably a few Widnes fans living in Spain, Australia and America. So I think it be a great idea if a fee to watch the games on a stream could help the Widnes budget, and possibly strengthen our squad to have a competitive team, especially if want ambitions for Super League. I live near Salisbury in the South of England and only go about 3 or 4 home games a season, but streams would also suit myself. I have joined WVIPs to help the club on recruitment I think we could look at fans like yourself to join from abroad? A minimum of £5 a month mate. 😂👌👍

More common sense being applied by IMG I see..!
You can get fans to sign up to watch, but only in specific ways. Make it make sense!
