We were full time in 2019 and I can't remember many teams tiring in the last ten minutes against us? They're just a better team. We made a decent fist of it and it's important we don't let the season finish badly.

I've enjoyed watching us and going the games this season for the first time in a while and would be nice for us to finish with some momentum.

@widnes77 Exactly. In the home game v Wakefield we scored two tries in the last 10 minutes and finished the stronger.People make it up as they go along. They are the better side and have shown it by beating us home and away.Simple.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting they aren’t a good team, I think their record of only losing one match all season, away at Toulouse, proves that. But being a full time team and a squad full of good players gives them the advantage at the end of a game.

Widnes had arguably our best player Fozzard missing and Lannon, who’s played well since he came, going off early in the first half, and unable to come back on, and a forward who hasn’t played a game for a year, or even trained before this week playing 70 minutes . So in the circumstances I thought they did really well to be still in the game with 20 minutes left.

Tbf, no one after this result credits Wakey as a very good team, yet at least two people say that we their fitness in the last 10 minutes was the difference, that was the point I was making.

It's been proven plenty of times at this level that part time players can beat full time players. Grand Finals and  finals at Wembley have been won by the part time side.

Widnes fans aren't renowned for crediting the opposition after a defeat, they'd much rather bellyache about the ref or injuries.Even the boss was at it last week after the Featherstone game, moaning about their tactics instead of offering some praise and conceding he'd been out coached.
