That was game with two League 1 teams.
A worse performance than Swinton, in some ways.
@viking25 sounded very poor play from Widnes for the majority of the game.
Jesus once again the overreaction is unreal. Let’s at least give it until week 5/6 of the season before calling to sack everyone at the club and calling us a league 1 team
Not sure what we got out of that. It seemed a backwards step from the Doncaster game, and not the best preparation for the Bradford game. I have no idea why Roberts is playing at prop, especially with three starting on the bench.
@scouseviking55 I'm afraid it's not over reaction it's realism for how bad we are !! Next week will show how bad we are I'm afraid when we play a strong opposition for the first time
@vikingfox71 it is over reaction. Today was pretty much a nothing game. We had a bad first 15 mins which fair play to NW they scored 2 tries. The rest of the game was pretty comfortable and as someone called before was pretty much a glorified friendly.
we have a bang avergae side and as much as none of us want that it’s something we have to accept in current circumstances, but to call us a league 1 team and all this other shite is wotsits.
we’ve scored 17 tries in 3 games and conceded 9 with an already banged up team (blame Hamilton for poor recruitment) and in reality with the Swinton game we had all the field position but couldn’t convert and probably had 5/6 good chances to score in that one which on another day we do.
just give it a rest because the doom and gloom before the actual league season has started helps nobody
@scouseviking55 ok I'll message you in week 6 of league season!!! Realism is not doom and gloom and I'm not saying we are a league one side but definitely lower end championship probably in relegation battle ( hopefully Doncaster carry on as being awful) we have played a lot of average teams and apart from last 25 minutes against Doncaster not looked like being strong enough as I say realism not doom
@vikingfox71 Realism not doom and gloom sums it up perfectly mate.
Having Joe Bullock in the squad and starting Max Roberts at prop is mind boggling.
Conceded first in all three games so far.
To not get out of a group with Swinton and North Wales in, with all due respect to them, is very disappointing.
Roberts is just going to get injured at prop
This is the worst !
ah van scores !
plan now for next season
if this continues we will be in league 1how many speckies then ?
No we wont. IMG rate us higher than Champ1
Paulie xx
IMG score doesn't matter when it comes to Champ v League 1!
Any idea why Dixon didn't play - is he injured?
He was limping near the end of the Doncaster game. So Coleman probably decided not to risk him.
