Steve Tyrer's young Viking squd had their first hit-out at Salford tonight. The match consisted of 4 x 15 minute quarters, to enable all players to get two run outs each. No kicks (conversions or penalties to touch) were allowed.
The Vikings were far too strong for their Salford counterparts, who were blown away. We ran in about 20 tries to none. We had good shape, great execution, strong running gaining lots of metres in possession, and an impeccable defence.
We may be on to something with a lot of these lads.
Up the young Chemical Vikings!

I saw this on Twitter and when saw a score 102- 0 it seems we are very good or the other team is poor. Being positive I hope we can keep these players, and eventually be in Super League having some of the players in our squad rather than going elsewhere. Up the Vikings. 👍
@begg That was a lie. 102pts couldnt be scored as there was no conversions taken. To be honest, I don't think anybody (Ref included) was keeping score. I'd say my estimate was about right. We scored 7 in the first 15min quarter.

Well scoring near to 20 tries is good enough mate. My dad would have said you playing the blind school. 😂 All good news Paulie. 👍
@begg All good. I think Tyrer will be happy that the kept a clean sheet, more than the scoreline. That said, Salford only got in our half about half a dozen times.

It would be nice if they put the youth games on the YouTube channel and I’m sure the young fellas would be encouraged by that
