Can someone clarify this cap issue for me please, I’ve seen different people say different things: – My understanding was that we are on a reduced cap as a condition for being let out of special measures: that with targeted 3200+ crowds, sponsorship, et al we could afford to spend more, but we can’t due to the RFL? This has then led to a limited spend on recruitment… Is that right?

It's highly likely that it has been underestimated how much revenue we will generate and so have a "lower cap" than we could actually afford

The club could go back to the RL with evidence of greater revenues than forecast and ask for the cap to be increased
