about time he started playing players in their positions.

Lyons isn't a full back, Owens isn't a hooker, Edge isn't a second rower.

Square pegs round holes.

Not sure why we are going into matches with only two forwards on the bench. Edge didn’t do badly considering he was out of position but was brought on only very late in the game. Couldn’t O’Neill or Dwyer have been a better use of a bench spot?

I posted the same thing after his first interview, they are just fine according to some on here

These are home games in our stadium done by the club's interviewer for the club's website and TV station, surely there is a room available where these interviews can be conducted properly

You can understand it if it's an away game or at a function where a quick interview is grabbed and you have no control over surroundings but for home games it's appalling IMO

Our bench does puzzle me in that we have a half back and a centre which is unusual in the modern  game.  You would usually have 2 props, a hooker and a back rower.  I understand we don't have a 2nd hooker, Dugdale looks very good but you don't want to put him into a hard position to young.  As a result we are not using Edge and Lyons until the last 10 to 15 mins.  Playing a full time side like London this is only going to make things harder. We do have back row options and I'm not sure why we don't use Dwyer on the bench over Edge.

Nothing a decent Shotgun Mic/Lapel Mic and a dead Cat would not cure.

The game was long lost with players playing in their correct positions.

Of course it was. It was probably lost before we even made an interchange.

Doesn't change my point though. Players playing out of position doesn’t help anybody

I do agree with the point in fairness - I'm not really sure what value having Lyons and Edge on the bench has, other than perhaps them being the only players fit enough to be on it?! Edge doesn't seem to have a position.

I'd sooner see Dugdale on the bench for Lyons, as I don't think sacrificing Owens from full-back to accommodate Lyons when Tomkins is resting is worth it. Having said that, Owens took his try well yesterday.

Presumably we will see Lyons in the halves on Sunday (with Dugdale bench hooker?), so we will see what's what. I assume Mr Sheens has his reasons for his team/bench selection, but I agree that given we are already understrength in the pack we need as many forwards available as we can!

Assuming Craven isn't fit and that Warrington don't want to get Patton cup tied then it looks likely Lyons will start in the halves on Sunday. Presumably Dugdale would get a bench spot in the above circumstances and a chance to stake his claim.

At least he knows what we all know is that the forwards as a group are not good enough to compete with the top half of the division...….. too small...……....too slow and lack of aggression......only money can solve it.

Is money the issue, or is it cap space?

Can someone clarify this cap issue for me please, I've seen different people say different things:

- My understanding was that we are on a reduced cap as a condition for being let out of special measures: that with targeted 3200+ crowds, sponsorship, et al we could afford to spend more, but we can't due to the RFL?

This has then led to a limited spend on recruitment...

Is that right?
