People will be saying to bring Brand and Atkin back next.

Yeah then Capey, Welsh Wizard and Widnes Willy. 😂

& our Aussie legend johnf 👍

Yeah made me laugh him with his long stories 😂🥖🥖 Think a few of them have given up on the site, but they made me chuckle. Don't think they would handle this mad Passionate Frenchy with positivity. 😂😂👍

Makes me laugh people saying gilmore would be a step back...for one thing he's not the same player he was when he left but has since been nominated for championship player of the year....saw him play for batley at barrow n tbf he was unreal ...kicking game led to mist of their tries n goal kicking was faultless...and I'd take him everyday of the week over Smith

Where are these rumors coming from? Is there any real news regarding signings for next season

I was one of Gilmore biggest critics back in the day. However he has proved over the last few years at Batley he is a very good championship player.

I just think Tom Gilmore at Widnes doesn’t work. It’s like there’s this extra pressure to perform being his hometown club and he can’t do it. I’d stay clear myself

They come from where all rumours start - someone just makes them up.

It is one thing to speculate about players we would like to see here, but another to suggest that the speculation is true.

Amor is an example, several posters have said that he has signed but until he or the clubs confirm this it is pure rumour.

Enjoy the speculation, that's all most of these rumours are.

The Amor rumour was started by that well known Widnes fan Daryl Powell !

Gilmore would be a step backwards.

It certainly would be a step backwards for Gilmore.

I really don’t care where any signings come from, as long as they can improve the squad. The rumour mill does seem to dwell on former players. What about Ah Van and Leuluaî, or maybe Paddy Flynn?

A great deal of water to flow under the bridge yet before we will now just who will be in our squad next year.

Once we have this season moving forward we may be able to see how the lads in our present squad develop under JK, which I think they will. Matty Smith gets on with JK, which is a great start. It wouldn't surprise me to see him as Asst Coach (or even player/coach) next year. Having a player ticket means he could be handy in an injury crisis.

Of course much depends on what offers players get, both ours and possible signings. Leigh will be looking to release a few if they progress to SL.

I always get the impression that JJ at Hull is playing to orders rather than doing his own thing. Looking back a few years when we beat Leigh away and he was our hooker and ran the game, without a few key players!!! So he may fancy a shot where he can really get into the game on his own merits.
