The previous set up were begging people to come through the turnstiles, this lot are practically telling people not to come.
Compared to most teams in the division, Widnes with their modern stadium have a relatively easy job at segregating fans and yet this seems like the council taking the easy and less hassle way of operating under Covid rules.
There is a school of thought that fans are just desperate to watch rugby in a stadium, honestly, 2,500 will be the biggest crowds we will get.
You just knew we’d make a mess of this didn’t you?
as has been said the May 17 date has been pencilled in the calendar for months.
couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery.
Just remember this fiasco people, when using the excuse ‘the clubs got no money’. They’ve known for over a month about the 17th May lifting the ban on spectators and the club as per usual leave it until the last minute and fcuk it up.
#clueless
One idea would be to sell a 3 game ‘season ticket’ to anyone who would like to be there therefore increasing numbers. Win lose or draw, cheer or jeer it will be great just to get back into the stadium

It might be except that it doesn’t mention covid anywhere though does it ?
It’s all very well having a go at the club for ‘not having a plan’ but people seem to forget that we don’t have a back room staff that professional clubs might. The club should rightly be held accountable for things they get wrong but In this case I’d rather wait a couple of weeks until they can get a proper plan in place rather than risk setting up a Covid super-spreader event. All for the sake of (a very, very optimistic) 700 x £ 23, really.
We maybe might not be going anywhere if the news is to belived
I think fans would find it hard to wear a face mask all the way through the match, which is what Wakefield are saying is going to happen at their matches. Will they be employing extra staff to walk around to make sure everyone is wearing one?

700x23 =£16000 less some expenses to work things out.
For a club on the bones of its backside that feels like it’s worth having. In addition, it’s about Customer Service this, and they are probably hacking off quite a few people who would normally have bought season tickets but haven’t because of the uncertainty, who may just say “stuff you” in future.
It’s poor business and shows a lack of effort when the club needs it most - Just my view!
So tell me again, how many ST holders are there, and your source, please.
I'll wager there are 1100 tops.
Paulie xx
1,800 ticket holders plus say 700 extra purchases as many have not bought season tickets due to the uncertainty. That makes about 2,500 which sounds about right. All order electronically last week with contact details so numbers are confirmed. Then create a seating plan based on numbers and how many are in each group, tickets can be ordered in a maximum block of 6 to comply with bubble/distancing rules with contact details for each individual recorded when placing the order.
Were has this figure of 1,800 season ticket holders come from????

Spot on!
I got hung on here for my thread called organised chaos seems the knob heads on here have now seen the light.
In fairness, how much of this is the club's doing and how much is the council and local health authority laying down their conditions?
Surely we don't have any more than 1200-1300 ST holders at best?
