@johno Sorry, yeah, that’s a possibility but not one that is very likely to happen. If what you envisage came to pass what would be the point of buying into the 51% ?
Either way it is academic.
The factions wanting to buy into the club to get rid of O’Connor, Rule et al we’re like the scene in the Life of Brian where the People’s Front of Judea hated the Judean People’s Front and vice versa. You can’t get three people on this forum to agree on anything, let alone a three year business plan for a business. And, as I say there isn’t a sensible business person in the world who would waste money on us at the moment.
RULE was a crook and in reality O connor knew very little about the sport and paid his brother (who was useless) about 100 grand a year
Which is we have to stop the same thing happening again! Is nobody getting this?
Had many conversations with Ste O'connor and he appeared to have genuune interest in the sport but he had an even bigger interest in money.
I don’t think Mr O’Connor had anything but good intentions for the club and wanted to to take us into Super League and beyond. But, he’s foremost a business man and, it would appear, made sure he could get his big loans back if things didn’t work out, which is what happened.
A supporters body, holding the majority of votes on purely monetary issues, could have voted against taking a loan from him (half a million pounds?) to buy a pitch we didn’t need. Or, if they thought it was a good idea, they could have agreed to it but put in a condition that, if the loan was ever to be repaid, it would be over a period of say twenty years. More a mortgage than borrowing a tenner down the pub.
If we don’t learn from our mistakes were doomed to repeat them.

Useless and surplus to requirements, as was Rule and the various hangers on in 'coaching' roles. All that money squandered on non playing, non productive, staff.
